Finally.

So I finally found the cord for my camera.... it was lost, again. ;) But yeah, here's the pictures I took at Hannah's birthday party.

The last picture, from left to right is Brianna's feet, mine, then Zachs. Haha, Brianna took it.

Bridesmaid 5-8-04

So, about my title. I really couldn't think of one, so I looked down and saw the bracelete that I wear everyday. The one all us nieces and nephew* got from Aunt Katie's wedding. I saw the charm inscribed "Bridesmaid 5-8-04" with little wedding bells on it, and thought, "That's it"  I'm really sad though. The charms are wearing off. The bridesmaid is blurry, the blue heart has a white scratch across it, and my mickey mouse charm already lost one ear.  Oh well, you can tell it's gone to good use :) The funny thing is, I feel different when I forget it one day. Like Thursday I forgot it because it fell behind my bed, and the whole day at school I felt kind of just, bummed. Same with my friendship bracelet me and Grace both have. It's a little cheapy bracelet with wooden beads on it, that we got from Action Territory (haha), but we made them our friendship braceletes. They were the last 2... so it kind of fit. Then we went back to her house, and got some weird book on curses and myths and stuff, and it said the true friendship bracelet should be covered in rose oil and while doing this, we had to have 4 candles lit, and no other lights on. We covered the other ones bracelet, then gave it back. And we swore we would wear it everyday, on our left hand only. I don't know, something she thought of. But's it's fun. I see it, and think "Grace" . ... What would Grace do in this situation, call Grace, I miss Grace. Anything. You know, we haven't seen eachother in almost a YEAR!!! And yet we live 15 minutes away from eachother. Last time we saw eachother was our last piano recital, back in October '07.  Too longg. This year at our piano recital, we are doing a duet together. We are doing Colors of the Wind from Pocahontas, and I'm playing piano, she's gonna sing. It should be fun :)

Well, today is Hannahs birhday party (my little sister). She turns 5 Monday. She's really excited. Our house is covered in pink and yellow. The theme is Spongebob, so pink for patrick, yellow for spongebob. I didn't get it until half way through decorating. ;)  The party should be fun. Our ex-neighbors the Shane's are coming, so Hannah's friend Benjamin, and Andrew Brianna and Joseph are coming too. Zach and Morgan and Shelly. Then some people from my dad's work. And our neighbors Ben and Lucy and their 3 kids, Tyler, Baylor, and CJ.  Eh, we'll see how this goes. Morgan, Baylor and Hannah tend to fight mostly any minute they are together... Its funny because they can play so nice together, they can be silent, then Morgan's brags about how she can do something better than Hannah or just do something Hannah can't because Morgan is 7 and Hannah is 4, well, almost 5. That's gets Hannah heated, then she fights back. Then they come running to the mom's. Morgan usually crying, and Hannah throwing a fit.

Oh and I forgot, in English, we have been studying Edgar Allan Poe, and let me say, he disturbs me.... alot. We read "The Tell-Tale Heart" which is about a guy who kills an old man because of his "vulturous" eye. How creepy is that??? Then we had to watch it. And we had to see the guy cutting off the old guys arms. EWW!

Good Kodak Moments :D

Hi Guys(:

Hah, my title is like my new favorite phrase to say. I walk into every class and scream "Hi guys!" :) Haha, it kind of gets me motivated to start. Anyways... like my new headline?  It's an inside joke. John thought of it for me. Isn't he nice? Sorry John, if you don't like it, tell me and I'll change it.  Or you know, you can do what we talked about. Just get your revenge somehow. I'll accept it ;)  Or I can just come to San Fransisco?

In other news, today was pretty good. I really like Mr. Moran, he knows how to make me laugh. Like today in advisory  I walked in and said "Kayla" then put 2 fingers up, like the peace sign, or like the number 2, and I didn't know what he was doing, So I said "two?" and he just kept doing that... so then I did it, and he said "Yeah." Haha, then went back to work. I was like "okay?" eh, but his class is REALLY boring. I found myself staring at the red hand going around the clock for the last 10 minutes of class. Whooo.

And I found this and love it!

Whitecaps Crash.

So I'm sure some of you heard about the helicopter crash in Kenosha early Sunday morning... and if you didn't, well there was. ;)  It was only 2 blocks away from our house. It was 5:30 Sunday morning, and a man and his finacee` were coming home from a trip to Indiana. It was REALLY foggy that morning. Like so foggy we couldn't see Shelly's house. But they were coming home, and they couldn't see. And the helicopter flew sideways into a house, splitting it completely in half. The 2 in the helicopter died, but the family in the house managed to get out. Parents were on one side of the house and the 3 kids were on the other side. Somehow avoiding the helicopter. The kids were 2, 6, and 9. And the house the helicopter crashed into is right across the street from the Elementary School, so its kind of scary for those kids. It was on the front page of the newspaper this morning... and it's all over the news. It was on the t.v., on all the news websites. A bunch of news people were driving up and down our street yesterday. Chicago was up, Milwaukee came down, a bunch of other people were here too. It was crazy. Helicopter pieces are all up and down the street, in the neighbors yard... The house has to be torn down, there is NO way to repair it.
This is the second air crash we've seen in whitecaps since we've lived here... 10 years.  One summer, when I was probably in 2nd or 3rd grade, we were at the Moore's house (our neighbors down the street). And we were in their backyard, having a party with a bunch of other people, and out of nowhere a plane came crashing down into, what was then, the field behind our house. Now it is a bunch of houses, but it was just a mud and grass field. We used to play around back there. Go sledding, run around, play hide and seek, we'd find jewels, bottle caps. It was fun. I remember seeing that plane come down though. It was so frightening. The guy flying the plane lost both arms and both legs, and broke a bunch of ribs and stuff. Scary stuff man. So my dads whole life, living in Waukegan, right by an airport, he never saw any crashes. Now, 10 years living here, not by a big airport, we've seen 2. O_o

Here's some links to some websites about the crash.

100.

Well, this is officially my 100th post. But that's not the reason I'm posting this. I was hoping I'd get a happy 100th post, but I came to write out this post, when I realized it was my 100th.

See Worst Dream Ever Here:

So I was somewhere, not sure. The setting is never really certain in my dreams. But I got a phone call, and it was Aunt Katie. She was still alive!!! She was still in Romania. So then I get all happy. I feel PERFECT! My life is great. Then like, the next day, she dies.  And that just makes me WAYYY more depressed than ever.

How depressing is that? So I woke up, and was just kinda down all day. I saw my friends while driving around White Caps with Shelly, and just didn't feel like hanging out with them. Arg. Arg. Arg. Arg.!

So my unconscience is getting me happy, and trying to help me. Then my self-conscience annoying self comes along and bursts my bubble, reminding me it's not possible.

Yost is toast

For the Brewer's. Haha, I love that headline.  But OH MY GOSH! The Brewer's fired Ned Yost!! I never really liked him anyways, but shocking.... He always seemed kinda mad, or like the Brewer's should always be playing better, no matter how well they were doing.

Well in other news, my french teacher called my house AGAIN! Today right before we were leaving to go to dinner, she called and said "Do you know if Kayla is still in French?" and my mom is like "No, we talked to the dean. She said Kayla is out" in like an angry/annoyed voice. Then the teacher is like "Ok." and as my mom was going to hang up I yelled "I don't like you" :) But I don't think she heard me. My mom laughed. Tomorrow I'm gonna talk to the dean, and to the french teacher. Be like "Stop calling my house!" Haha.

School is, surprisingly, going great. I actually like going. Lunch has to be my favorite. Our lunch table does not stop laughing. And it's great, because I haven't laughed like that in sooo long, and it feels great to. Then today my friend tripped on the stairs and fell on me. We both had to stay still for a minute, in order not to pee our pants from laughing so hard. It was hilarious.

That's about all the news for today. Thank you, and have a great day. (I'm a news cast reporter today(: )

*#@!

I really hate my french teacher. Last night she called me house saying I've been truant 5 times to her class! I've only gone to school 5 days! And I went last Tuesday and Wednesday. Was absent Thursday and Friday, then Monday I told her I wasn't going to be there because I had alot of work to catch up on. Then Monday night, my mom called and got me out.
So today, Mrs. Riedlinger (the dean of students) pulled me aside and asked me "Where have you been going 10th period?" and I said "Mr. Morans" and she told me I was supposed to be in french. I told her my mom got me out, and she said she was going to tell her that and get rid of all my truancies. Haha. WHOO!  Apparently she likes me better this year :) Last year, she HATED me.

Well today was pretty good. I guess Angelica was serious when she said she wasn't mad at me. Because today in choir, when the rest of the class was up putting their music away, neither of us had music, and she came up and stood in front me just smiling. Then she waved and I waved. Then she started talking to me. Haha. I don't know about people these days. O_o

...

So today, I realized something. I REALLY flipping love my teachers. I have the best feeling that this year is going to be amazing.
But I REALLY REALLY REALLY want to/am going to drop out of French. The teacher is the biggest meanie ever. Today, I had ALOT of stuff to makeup and everything, and I had to do it during advisory, because we can't take the books home, and everything was from the books, and in class we were busy. So I asked Mr. Moran if I could stay in his advisory to work on everything and he said that would be good to do, but he told me just to tell the french teacher I would miss JUST today. So my friend and I went down there, because she was going to help me in the house, and I told the teacher this. "Mrs. Towers, Mr. Moran said I should stay up in his room and work on all the stuff that I'm missing from Thursday and Friday, but I'm coming back to class tomorrow." And she started YELLING at me. Like seriously. People in the hall could hear her. She's like "This is a highschool class. You signed up for it. You commited to it. Blah Blah Blah." and she kept yelling for like 3 minutes straight until I looked at her like "Uh, EXCUSE ME?!?!" Then she said "You go back to your class and get your stuff and get back down here." I was like "Well, uh, I have alot of stuff I have to make up, and I can't bring the books home or anything." And she's like "Do it during lunch then!" So then we left, and my friend is like "She had no reason to yell at you like that!" And I'm like "I know!" Then I never went back. :) I stayed in Mr. Moran's. Now my mom says I can drop out, because that's bogus, and I don't get yelled at for no reason, especially by someone I don't know. So yepp, that was my advisory. I loved it.
Mr. Moran was so funny too. In advisory he started singing "Kayla. Ka Ka Ka Ka KAYLA!" Like that song that goes "Lola...." er whatever. Haha, he always starts singing old songs. But he's REALLY extremely nice. Like today, he gave me the quiz that I missed, and after I tried doing it, I was like "I don't get this." And he's like "Oh you weren't here for the movie were you? I'll just give you a pass on this. Don't worry." And all my other teachers were extremely nice about it. Today in english, we had a test on like nouns and verbs and everything. I told her I was gone, and she said I could either take it today, or tomorrow. I decided I'd take it today. And she told me that if I did bad, she would let me re-take it. And in Math, she pulled me aside right away and gave me everything I missed, got me my book and everything. In science I didn't really miss anything, so there wasn't anything, but Mr. Plowe did ask if I was feeling better, and he was glad I was back. :) They are all so caring.

I've also realized, I'm so much nicer this year.  Strange right? Haha. JUST KIDDING. It's not strange at all to me. Like today, we got to work in partners, and my friend and I were working by this girl who really doesn't talk much, and doesn't have too many friends. And after a few words, I asked her to join us. I felt so good. I know it's nothing big to others, but I admit it, that's something I would have never done last year. And I'm ashamed of that. I'm trying so hard to change my ways. And to change what people think of me. Like my teachers from last year, know that I'm nothing like those other girls... Now atleast they know ;)

Ah, that's about it. Today in choir we listened to the recording we made last year, that we won with :) And we got our seating chart. I sit by 2 of my friends :D I love Mrs. Smith, but not so much choir. :p

Choir Competition

I totally forgot to write about this! But on the first day of school, when we went to choir, our teacher told us that we had been chosen as one of the 3 best choirs in Wisconsin. :D

At the end of last year, we made a professional CD to send in, because we are our teachers best group she's ever had, and we wouldn't find out until this year. And finally we found out. We are going to competition January 15. It's a 2 night field trip to Eau Claire, like 4 hours away :) She said we are going to work our butts off, then take a break. We almost got this in 6th grade, but we were not great yet. And now, we are the first middle school to go in our school district. And! This competition is for choirs Kindergarten through college. And the CD they got was 7th grade! Whoooo!

I find this totally amazing from us. Because at the beginning through middle of 6th grade, we were BAD! Like we were getting in trouble everyday, our counselor had to come in to lecture us. Haha. Now our teacher always tells us how proud she is that we turned ourselves back on the right path, because even though we were bad, she knew that we were a great choir.

But yeahh, I can't believe I forgot that. But because of the cost of that, we won't get to go to Chicago for a day like we usually do. We get coach buses and everything for the Eau Claire trip :D I'm so excited.

Baseball Game

The game last night was pretty awesome. We went into the 12th inning. I was pretty bored like the 9th and 10th innings, but then my tylenol kicked in, haha. Then I got hyper, and was forcing Zach to dance to the music. Yeah, he ended up coming, my dad pooped out. This time though, we knew that there was no McDonald's, so we didn't go looking for it. But I almost wasn't allowed back in when we went to get cashews for my mom and Cindi and Dan. On the level we were on, they check your tickets at every door, and I didn't have mine. My mom took it so I didn't loose it. Haha. But the guy heard us talking about it before we got to the door, and let me in(:
It was funny, in the left field, there is a circle of dead grass. It's where Braun stands all the time. So this time, he was standing a little off, hah.

I have to say, I love baseball games!

8th grade start off

Well, today I'm home sick for the second day in a row. I lost my voice, I have a sinus infection and an ear ache. So last night, we went to the walk in clinic, I think that place is so bogus. We waited for a half an hour IN THE EMERGENCY ROOM, then once the doctor finally came in, he was in and out in less than a minute. HOW ANNOYING! I'm like "You couldn't do that before we waited so long??? I'm sure you had a minute where you were just sitting around, and could have been helping me." I was so mad, I like didn't smile or say anything to anybody. And the guy is like "So what's wrong with you today?" and I replied "Uh, I'm sick." Thinking... "DUH! I thought you were the smart one here" Haha, oh yeahh, I have an attitude if I want to(:   Hah, and usually when you go to the walk in clinic, they bring you to like a room that looks like an office, but this time they brought me to this ER room with a stretcher and a monitor and everything and a bunch of needles and ewwww. I was like "Gee thanks. This makes me feel better" Then a bunch of male doctors were walking around and I found it funny how they all look so tough, but are wearing crocs and purple scrubs. Not to offend anybody. it's just like I picture my dad or somebody in that, and laugh. But then so the "Dr." walks in, says Whats wrong, I reply like a typical non-patient 13 year old, I say I have green snot... which is lovely may I add, he says "You have a sinus infection. THATS IT. It's like, Uh I could have figured that out, and I just started 8th grade, didn't you pay a bunch of money to learn that? Then some nurse walks in gives me a piece of paper and bye. Arg, I hate hospitals.

Well, tonight we are going to a Brewer's Game with my parents friends Cindi and Dan, and possibly Zach is coming, not sure yet though. He's in school, haha. Nah, I actually like school.

Typical-ness

Of course, second day of school, I'm sick.  Runny, stuffy nose. Red tonsels, that hurt! Watery eyes, and I'm just so tired! I'm like run down, pooped.  Today, we did nothing! Once again.

In math we played Heads up 7 Up. Haha, real original. Science, I guess we kinda did. We studied observations, and we had to explain a pencil and a badmitton racket as descriptive as possible. English was stupid. We drew symbols representing us.... BORING. Social Studies we took a test. Haha, just what we all want to do now. It was on our states, that we know by now. Blah. Like, I memorized all them in 5th grade, we learn EVERY SINGLE YEAR. And we are taking a test in english tomorrow. Whoo. I love it. Oh well.  I have to say, lunch has been the best! I haven't laughed that hard in a REALLY LONG time. But lunch right now is all screwed up. They changed lunch, so now we have 4 lunch periods. 6th grade is all together and is 11:30 - 11:55. Then 2 7th grade houses go together from 12 - 12:30. Then 2 8th grade houses go together (Us, and Mohican) from 12:35 - 1:00. Then 1 7th grade house and 1 8th grade house go together from 1:10-1:40.  On wednesdays, my lunch is 10 minutes shorter than all the others. NO FAIR! My mom is like "That's not right!" And the lunch before us is always behind, so today we didn't go to lunch until 12:30 and we were back in the room by 12:50. That's NOT enough time. They had to split up 7th grade because it is WAY too big this year and can't fit all those kids. They have atleast 34 kids in everyclass. That is not good. Our building is only fit to hold 800 kids, and we have over 1000. Yikes!

First day, outta the way

My first day is over, officially, i'm an 8th grader :) It finally feels like it. We got out lanyards and ids, and let me say, they are hidious! They are BRIGHT yellow, that goes with like nothing! Haha, oh well.

I made quite a few new friends today :)  And my one friend in my class, her name is Kathryn, and goes by Katie. I feel alot better being out of that group too. I have alot more confidence and blah blah blah. They are really strict this year, seriously. ALOT. Like our shirts MUST be covering our collar bones, or we are in trouble. Today my friend Katie (not the Kathryn Katie, a different Katie) got in trouble, and her shirt was made as a rounded collar shirt, it was just stretched out a little. CRAZY! And if you get sent to the OC just one time, you get a referral.

But all my classes are good. All my teachers let us chew gum, as long as we aren't like obnoxious with it, snapping it our chewing with our mouths wide open. My social studies teacher, Mr. Moran was apparently in the Vietnam War, and like everything he talks about brings up a story of his from the war, so then of course he has to talk about it. And he talks all in monotone, so its REALLY boring. Gosh, I think he told us atleast 3 or 4 stories just today! Ah. In english, we did a little "get to know you" game. And one girl said she went mountain hiking over the summer and the first thing she says is "And I saw a bear!" and the teacher and her kept going on about how scary it sounds, and how scary it was and whatever. I just sunk down, and looked around. My math teacher just graduated in May, and shes a girly girl who thinks shes all that. My science teacher is my favorite. Mr. Plowe. He's really cool. He was reading us the rules (for the 2nd out of the 4 times we heard them today) and he read off "No gum chewing" then started chewing his gum with his mouth wide open on purpose, teasing us. Then he said "Nah just kidding, I'm not big on that one" :) Haha. He kept making jokes the whole class, getting us in the mood for school. He's a Brewers fan too!! :D Him and my english teacher are. My french 101 class, is going to suck. I have all 3 girls that I"m not friends with anymore in it, and I sit by one. But whatever, she'll get over it (: They all kept looking at me, then I told my friend and I'm like "They look at me 'cuz I'm pretty :)" Ah,  I had a pretty great first day overall.

Vacation

Home! I'm home. Can't say I'm glad to be home, but I'm here, in Kenosha, once again.
Disney was..... good. For me, it wasn't "magical", but it was good to get away. I got to ride my favorite ride 4 times :) The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror :o  It's my all time favoritee. You sit in an "elevator" with 20 other people, with nothing but a seatbelt, and you go up 13 stories and drop straight down at random. Then you go ALL the way up, and a window opens up and you stop for a second and you can see the whole park, then when you drop, it takes your picture. We got Hannah to go on it with all of us, and we got our picture. It's pretty awesome. We got the front row too(: And my mom and I have our hands up in the air, my dad is laughing looking at Hannah and this is the funniest, Hannah's face is totally mellow. As if we weren't dropping or anything, just like she was in an elevator. And all the other people in the elevator are screaming and laughing. It's awesome.
We also stayed and watched "Spectro Magic" at Magic Kingdom. It was at 9, it was a parade all lit up. We  got alot of pictures. That WAS "magical".  What I loved most about it, was how nice people are there, and they are all in good moods. And whenever you check out of a store or anything, they say "You have a magical day" I love it. Hannah and I saw Pluto, Pooh, Eeyore, Tigger, and Piglet. And we had breakfast with Pooh, Tigger, Mary Poppins, Alice in Wonderland and the Mad Hatter. He was my favorite. He gave me a lesson on gravity. He kept making me stand up, then sit down.... about 7 times. And the first time he told me to sit down, I looked at him, like "uhh, you're going to pull the chair out" and apparently he got my look, because then he said "I'm not going to do it, I promise!" Then Alice came over and he made me show her. Then he's like "See, it's easier to sit down, than to stand up, right? All thanks to gravity." Haha

But also, I found some of Disney hard for me. Like, we did Splash Mountain, and that of course is all about Brer Rabbit. It's a water ride, where you go through whatever land that is, and then you plunge down a 50 foot drop into the Briar Patch. But um, through out the ride, it has Brer Fox and... Brer Bear. I always found myself looking the other way at those parts. No matter how "funny" it was, I couldn't look. Also, when we were in line to see Winnie the Pooh, he had to go "get some hunny" and Hannah asked my mom, "Why does he have to get hunny" and my mom replied "So he stays happy. Otherwise - nevermind, I'm going to stop there" and that kind of ruined the moment of hugging Pooh for me. But Eeyore was good, he's my favorite :)

Well, these are all the rides we rode.

Magic Kingdom - Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain, Haunted Mansion, Stitches Great Escape

Hollywood Studios - Tower of Terror, Rockin' Roller Coaster (starring Aerosmith), Muppet Vision 3-D

Epcot - Test Track

Animal Kingdom - Expedition Everest

I loved it all, except Stitches Great Escape. You kept expecting something, and it was soo lame.

Ah, well, tomorrow, my first day of 8th grade. I'm SOOOOO not ready. I'm quite nervous, actually. I'll write about it tomorrow. >_<
