Do not stand on my grave and weep,

I am not there, I do not sleep.

I am thousand winds that blow.

I am the diamond glints in the snow.

I am the sunlight on ripened grain.

I am the gentle autumn rain.

When you awaken in the morning's hush

I am the swift uplifting rush of quiet birds in circled flight.

I am the soft stars that shine at night.

Do not stand at my grave and cry;

I am not there, I did not die.

Ahh.

The long awaited Christmas Break is almostttt here. And it came JUST on time. One day later, and I might lose my mind.

High School....... is so stressful. Yeah everyone says it, but when you first get there, you feel fine. Then after a while, it starts getting to you. And once you finally sit down to think, (which theres hardly time for)... you realize how insaneee it is. The teachers must think we have no life. We got pounds of homework everynight. Luckily my last class is completely pointless, so I do most of my homework in there.

Lets see, Choir, our teacher is lazy. Most days, we don't even sing. And on the days that we do, it's only for 30 minutes, then he goes into his office. And I remind you, our classes are 2 hours long. So thats 1/4 of our time, that we actually work. What else? French, is just french. I'm ready for it to be over. Geometry, ohhhh this is the stress. She gives us atleast 50 problems a night. And our problems aren't simple. They are 5-8 lines each. Crazyyy! And my last class, graphic communications. This class is THE dumbest class anyone could invent. The way they made it sound... it sounded like it would be fun. But nope. We learned about different types of printing, we made a memo pad, a comic book, and business cards?? Uhmmmm, no not my thing. Theres 3 girls in that class, hah. Go figure.

Anyways, besides that. My lifes been crazy. I have alott going on. I'm ready for a break :)

Do you ever feel like, when your sick, like your NEVER going to get better??? That's how I'm feeling right now. And it's halloween, AND I have to cheer! What is that about?!? Gosh. Let me say, I am done with cheerleading. The coach is making us buy devil horns and a cape for cheering today?? WHAT? how are we supposed to cheer in a cape, in the wind? Man oh man am I glad this could be our last game. Whew.
Anways. School, it's alright. Finals are this week. I am nervousssss. :P That geometry one is gonna be tough :/

Dance.

Homecoming dance last night was absolutely amazingggg! :) It was alot of fun, way more than I expected. I met some new people, made some new friends, danced, hung out with my boyfrienddd(: It couldn't get much better. They played all the new music, and some slow songs, it was fun. I learned how to slow dance! Haha. Well, I guess I kinda knew what to do, I just never did it before, so it was sweet. Mike got me a necklace :) I love it.

Lets see, so the dance was fun. Then I went to an after party with Mike and Ian. That was fun I guess. Everyone was tired at midnight, so you know, there wasn't much to do... ;) Hm.

I got lots of compliments :) Everyone thought I looked "cute". Haha.

Homecoming

Well, highschools been going prettttyyyyy goood :) So far..

Last night was our big homecoming game! I cheered at it :D It was ALOTT of fun. And of course, our beastly football team won 56-2 or something around that, against Case. I have alot more fun cheering now that the coach is starting to warm up, get a little nicer.

TONIGHT is the homecoming dance!! I am so nervous, but exciteddd :D Its like a feeling right before you go perform infront of an audience, kind of nervous butterflies, but thrillling, an anxiety RUSH. I'm wondering how I'm going to walk around in high heels on a sprained ankle O_o Haha, I'll figure it out. Well, I'll write about it tomorrow! Wish me luck (that I actually know how to dance!!) ;)

Freshmannnnn.

Hmm. 2 weeks are overr. I'm still getting lost, still confused on everything, but heyy, it's all good. Hah. Let's see. You would not believeeeeeee how big my high school is. And on A days, I have to walk all the way from the very end of one side to the OTHER veryyy end, and it's difficult with how slow kids walk these days. GOSH. But choir is amazzinggglyyy fun. I'M A FIRST SOPRANO! Do you know what that means?! I sing the HIGHEST of the whole choir, I go all the way up to like, the end keyss. And last year, I was an alto, which is the lowest. During my singing test placement thing, he just kept saying "Perfect! Fantastic! Keep Going!" going up the scales, haha, I was like sweet. Hah, when I went into the lil room where we did the test, you walk in and he asked your name and where you went to schoool last year. So I said, of course, Kayla, and then Mahone. And he goes "So YOU know how to sing! You had Mrs. Smith" Im just like "oh yes ;)" :D haha

Hm. I had my first test in geometry yesterday. That stuff is like, easy yet hard. It's confusing, and ALOT of workk. Um, lunch has been pretty fun. However we only take up like a quarter of a table haha. We usually sit Eli, Josh, Me, Ashley, Maddie, Heather. Haha. Thats it. We are like the only freshmann there, intimidattinnggg.

Gym kinda sucks, but whatever, atleast it's only a quarter :) We've been playing softball. I actually got a double yesterdayy!!! That's amazingg considering my hand-eye coordination, which equals abouttt 0. haha.

I think advisory is my favorite class. I have Grace and Nick, which is fun, and I met this new kid, Dominic, he's cool too.

Oh I realllyyyy like my history teacher, Mr. Jones. He's hilariouss, like Mr. Moran last year, haha. And he knows how to interact with the students so class isn't boringg. It's cool.

All in all, I like all my teachers, so it's good.

1st Week Down.

I officially feel like a high schooler. My first week is done. Only, ohhh, who knows how many. The first 2 days were good. Thursday wass alright until about 2:30. We ran the mile in gym, and afterwards, Mike went to sit down, and when he tried to stand back up, he couldn't put any weight on it. So I spent the after noon with Mike and his family in the ER waiting x-ray results. Turns out within the last 2 years, he's chipped off a piece of his ankle, and it's missing, and the trauma of running pulled its limits. Now he's on crutches and in a cast for 3 weeks, and if it doesn't heal, he needs surgery. Surgery means noooo homecoming dance for Mike, or Kayla. Lets pray it doesn't happen.
Anyways, Friday I was sent home by the nurse with a fever. I'm still sick. It really sucks.
Well, I think I've gotten used to high school, or mostly at least. I still get lost, but whatever :) Haha. What I REALLY like about high school, theres not really cliques. I mean, everyone still has their friends, and people who we'd rather not talk to, but mainly, everyone's "cool" if you please. Everyone's nice. Seniors actually talk to freshman without being snotty or anything. You'll always have those few kids who just refuse to, I don't know how to put it, refuse to.... um, Here. They think they are too cool for anyone. There we go. They think they are better than everone, you know. But whatever, let them think that, their loss(: Hmm.

Choir is funn. I lovee the teacher. Mr. Mann, haha. I've known him because Mrs. Smith always had him in practicing with us in 8th grade. I miss her, but Mr. Mann knows how to make it fun. French is alright. The teachers nice. Madame Hessenthaler. But theres only 2 Mahone kids, me and Peter. I think Geometry will be fun this semester. The teacher is realllyyy easy going, and the kids make it fun. Gym, eh, atleast its the end of the day. Then History is on B days instead of choir. My teacher looks like Santa :) Haha, he's cool though. Extremlyy nice, and funny. All in all, I think my teachers are great. They really are here to help kids, and not just to teach, you can tell they like their job, which is a goooood thing.

I'm apparently joining 2 clubs, DECA, and Key Club. Key club is kind of a leadership thing I think? And I honestly have NOO idea what DECA is. Haha. But my mom arranged it for me, without my consult. She set it up with Nick and Mike's moms, hah, so whatever, I'll go with it, see how it goes.

That's about it for noww.

Second day of High school...

MUCHHH better than the first :D

Tuesday, September 1, 2009

1 Down

179 to go! :) Haha. Wow thats alot. Well first day of HIGH SCHOOL is over. ;) It still doesnt sound right to me... high school O_o

Anywayssss, school was alright. Coulda gone worse, coulda gone better. I only know Peter in my french class, I was sooooooo happy when I found out he was there though, otherwise i knew no one. Choirs fun :) Like the teacher. Mr. Mann haha. French sucks. Geometry, ehhh... Gym, Not my thang :P The halls are ridiculously busy. We come to complete stops at times from being so crowded. And the buss, we all sit either 3 or 4 to a seat. Its insane. But whatever. It was nice just being freshman the first 3 hours. It helped calm the nerves a lil i think. I actually wasn't as nervous as I thought I would be. Its a little insane, the whole thing, haha. I feel so little, so short there :/ Whateverrr. Ill learn to live, hah.

Ya'll Ready For This?

First day of high school tomorrow. I'm certainly not ready.

Friday, August 28, 2009

3 Days. (Well now 2)

3 days is NOTHING. I have 3 days left of my summer. And then I start high school. How frightening?! I went to a pep rally Wednesday for the football players and cheerleaders. Then I suddenly realized how unreal the idea still is in my head. I felt so young... so SHORT. Haha. But it was realllyyyyy cool(: Well, the pep rally itself was rather lamee, but meeting/talking to people was fun. They had a dance floor and DJ. The cheerleaders had the be the first ones out there because we are supposed to get the people out there. I guess they are afraid to dance unless someone else is out there, hah. So we did the cha cha slide of course. And they played some modern music likee I Gotta Feeling and Boom Boom Pow by Black Eyed Peas, Beyonce', and more... Oh and I learned a new dance called something like the Columbian Slide or something. It was cool. I got my football jersey :) Cheerleaders get football jerseys to wear to school on game days. It says "Cheer Devils" on the front and "YEAROUT" on the back, and I got number 18. We didnt' get to pick.... we just got a random number. Hmm, what else. My first game was... disappointing, but the football team won 30 - 0 :) So that's a plus. Haha. Butt my coach is dumb, she really needs to get organized so she isn't telling us everything last minute. It's a little ridiculous..

Well, todayy I'm going to the zoo. Even though its flipping freeeeezing outside. This summer really blows. Theres only been 2 memorable thingss about it. California, and my boyfriend(: The weather has sucked. Its August... and I'm wearing socks, sweat pants, and a hoodie.. WITH THE HOOD UP. Man. What a great way to start high school huh?

Hah, I believe the high school is trying to scare and confuse all the poor freshman. We all got a call to our houses saying to meet in the commons at school by 7:15 in the moring the first day to get our BRAND NEW schedules. Soo, they gave us schedules, explained it all, I made my own little schedule to figure it all out easier, and now they are gonna give us brand new ones?!? Don't they get we are already scared enough?? Whoa, the sun just came out. I haven't seen the sun in like a week!!! This is amazing. The house is actually somewhat bright. And there it goes, why not. Ugh. Whatever. Bye.

Wanna know

Anybody want to know the WORST weather for a first football game? COLD and RAINY. Oh, haha, guess what its like outside.... Take a wild guess....

COLD AND RAINY.

Ahh, I'm losing my faith in mother nature.

Title?

Ok, so for kindergarten, the kids need an art smock. Of course.... you can't find an "art smock" in the school supply section. So we got Hannah to settle for a boys button up t-shirt that was a few sizes too big. :)
So today.... Hannah and I decorated it, to make it more fun. On the front we had "Hannah Y." not knowing HOW many Hannahs there could be. And we had a ladybug, a flower, and a moon and shooting star. Then on the back, we intertwined our handprints. That took up most of the back. But we had a little room saved on the left shoulder. There, we drew a green apple, and in little font "In loving memory of Aunt Katie" with a heart. I thought it was pretty much perfect in all aspects. It wasn't too flashy or anything, but wasn't unnoticeable.

High School Here I come.

Well, high schools only a few weeks away... wow it still sounds weird to say "I'm in highschool" ! How strange. Supposedly it all goes fast from here on.
I got my schedule, ID, and yearbook picture, and sports pass today. Let me say... those schedules are SO confusing. Why can't they just make it easy? Really.... Well quarter 1, on "A" days, I have Choir, then French, then Geometry, Lunch, back to Geometry, and P.E. "B" days, I have U.S. History, French Geometry Lunch, Geometry, P.E. Haha. Confussssing stuff right there. On the good hand, the lady let me pick what picture I wanted in the yearbook(: Which she wasn't supposed to do. Haha. But on the other hand, I have no classes with Mike :/ Even though we signed up for ALL the same classes but 2. :P Whateverr. Umm, thats about it for now. Oh Cheerleading started last week. We learned 5 cheers in 2 hours! And they expect us to remember all those perfectly. Goodness. But I guess its fun, just alot more work than I would have thought for *cheerleading*.

Crazyyy Weather

Last night was INSANE. We got 2 rounds of severe storms. The first time, the sirens went off, umm, 3 times? And we heard a tornado touched down at by the Target right behind our house. CRAZY right? Oh, and this whole time, the power was out. We were in the basement in complete darkness with sirens going off. Then eventually we got candles out. But then we had to start bailing out buckets of water to keep our basement from flooding. Our whole neighborhood was doing it, haha. At least we weren't alone ;) But then after like 1 1/2 hours we gave up. So we got like 2-3 inches of water in our basement. Luckily we got everything important up off the floor. Hmm, what else? Everything was flooded. We couldn't get anywhere. Then around like 9, the front half of our neighbor hood got power. So it was only like 3 streets, including us that didnt have power. Ours didn't come on til like 2 or something this morning. And we hadn't eaten, so we had to drive to Chilis, which luckily was serving food :] but it was packed. Then we ate at home, but candle light, haha. Soo this morning it was amazing to wake up to 80 degree weather and sun, at 10 am.
Well that was my exciting night.

Happy Friday!

Yay. The lonnggg week is finally over. How exciting?!  Today was an amazing day. It's like 82* out. So for gym, we went outside, and it's "National Fitness Day"  so we all had to run as many laps as we would in 20 minutes. And I'll add, our track is a normal sized track, so 4 laps = 1 mile. I ran 8 laps :) 2 miles! and I have gym first period, so it kinda sucked, cos I was all hot and sweaty the rest of the day. But whatever. I think  I could have done better. But it was my first time running since last summer, it was my first time on the track since 7th grade, it was 80* and I was wearing sweatpants. I don't have shorts for a gym... but I'm thinking I might need some, huh? But now my leg muscles are all sticking out alot. Hehe, its kinda cool. Like the ones in my thighs always stick out, cos I have really good muscles in my legs, so you can always see them, but today they were like even in my calves. This kid in my class, Joe, he goes "Hollyyyy Cow (but he used the other "c" word ;) ) and then said "Your legs!" Hah, cos I was wearing capris so you could see my legs.

But even the day was just a great day. As I've said before, most kids are gone in DC, so our classes are tiny. So our teachers took us outside today. We had like 25 minute classes up til lunch, then after wards we could go outside or play in the gym. All my friends and I took off our socks and shoes and played football with the guys. Hah, and we just sat. It was SO amazin/nice/wonderful to be barefoot and not have cold toes! And the sun was so nice. I miss summer so much. And when we were outside, I realized "Oh my gosh, its friday!" haha. Its kinda nice when that happens. Well, thats about it.

Wednesday, April 22, 2009

Draggg.

Man is this week a drag! It is going soooo slow. And today everyone left for DC, so there is like 7 kids in my class.... and we usually have 33. But, I guess it's kinda fun. The teachers aren't so stressed, they are alot nicer. And all the kids in my class know how to make anything fun.
Like today, Joe brought this HUGE sombrero, like half the size of his body, and wore it. And we just managed to make everything fun. Laugh. I think it was one of the best days of 8th grade. And our teachers don't wanna do much, so everything is fun. And Friday, our house is throwing a party because is supposed to be like 80*. So they shortened it to 30 minute classes, and from lunch after, we are going to be outside doing whatever we want. I love my teachers :)

Well thats about it. Post later. Have a great rest of the week.

Sunday, April 19, 2009

Ohhh nooo.

Spring Break is over :(   Very sad... I know.  I guess, it was okay? It wasn't great or anything, but it wasn't awful. I got to go to Indy for a day :) Which was a plus.

Back to school tomorrow. Not too excited about that. BUT, only 40 days left :]  Although, that's quite a longggg time lol  Oh well.

Umm, that's about it. I'll post later in the week. Goodnight

May I Just Say.

As time goes on.... I keep becoming happier and happier that I broke up with Zach.  It most definately was the right decision. :)

Sunday, March 22, 2009

Hmm.

Well, this week was a Mess. The whole week, every single day, there was atleast 90 kids out with some type of flu. I was one of those 90. Monday, I went home sick after I lost all my food at lunch. ;) Tuesday I went home early. Wednesday I didn't even go. And Thursday and Friday I did, but I didn't feel all too hot. Friday at school, it was me and Grace at the lunch table. That's it. We usually have 9 people at our table. It was really weird. Everyone was sick. I bet the school lost alot of money ;)

Well. Hm, I finally started my book report. Because I was sick, I didn't get my book until Thursday. I'm reading "The Five People You Meet In Heaven". I've read it before, so I know its good.

That's about it. This weekends kind of  crazy, but whatever. I'm just chillin'. Have a good week.

Wednesday, March 11, 2009

I am...

I am. A daughter, a sister, a grand-daughter, a niece, a cousin, a friend. I am a partner, a student, a young girl and a grown woman. I am confident and scared. Terrified and excited. I am loving and caring and thoughtful and hopeful. I am sick and tired. I am shy and friendly. And careful and careless. I am broken and whole. Misunderstood, misguided and mislead. I am hard working and determined, but a little scared on the inside. I wish on stars and dream my dreams. I pray to God and cry my tears. I smile on the outside while I'm dying on the inside. I listen to others who won't listen to me. I walk on eggshells and I walk on fire. I believe in passion, but not true love. I love you and I push you away. I want you but not so close. I am everything and nothing all at once.

Raise the Roof

I've noticed these past few days, I've been getting irritated or extremely annoyed easily. For instance - Zach told me not to do anything stupid, so we can hang out this weekend. NOW THAT REALLY MADE ME MAD. I was like "So you just expect me to do something stupid and get grounded?!?!" HES THE ONE GETTING GROUNDED FOR GRADES, Shoot, I have all A's so far ;P  Erg. So thats one issue.

And school, is really bugging me. Choir- WE NEED A BREAK. We've been working our butts off all year. She said after the WCDA, we would get a few days break, and what do we get? Half a day of no singing! Then, we worked our butts off for Choral Fest, which was Saturday, and she said we would get a break after that. We got yesterday off. Erg. But I do admit, it was pretty darn amazing - Choral Fest. It is where all the high school and all the 8th grade choirs get together and sing 4 songs together, and each school sang a solo tune. Mahone was the first do to our solo. And at this thing, we have a guest conductor, who conducts us all, minus the solo tunes. He is the conductor and Lawerence College or something in Northern Wisconsin. He's a big shot ;) So he knows all. And when he heard Mahone sing alone, his jaw immediatley dropped in amazement. Then our teacher told us how all the directors took him out Sunday night for dinner. And he was randomly talking, and brings up this -
"You should have heard this middle school choir sing. They were AMAZING. I've never heard anything like them." And our teacher just sat there quietly. And the teacher next to her goes points to our teacher and goes "That was her choir!" And Richard Bjella (the guest conductor) screams "OH MY GOSH. THEY WERE AMAZING"
Our teacher said he looked like he was gonna kiss her he was so amazed. Hehe.  I'd say we raised the roof ;)

I really don't have a title. Because I really don't know what I am going to write about. I just figured it was time to post...

Soo.... yeah I really don't have anything.

Ready for High School?

I got my high school courses sheet yesterday :) It's pretty exciting actually. It's over-whelming, but it finally seems like its here! Its reality. I'm going to be in high school next year. No denying it. But when you finally get all the sheets, it feels real. You learn about the credits. For my high school, you need atleast 26 credits to graduate. And to graduate with your Honors Diploma, 16 of those 26 credits must be honors classes. I'm proud to say I'm going for it :D Already, my freshman year I'm taking 4 honors classes. I'm debating whether to take 5. Right now I'm at Geometry, Biology and Literature & Comp. Honors, oh and I'm taking Choir Honors xD I'm debating whether to take U.S. History honors. I don't think I will though. I already have enough trouble paying attention and liking that class. Then I'm going to take French 101, or maybe Italian, not sure.... But I think French ;) Then my senior year I get to go to Paris! And I may possibly take summer gym. :O How weird. But then you don't have it during the school year, you don't get all hot and sweaty. And then during the year, when you would have had gym, you can take an extra elective to get 8.5 credits! P.E. is half a credit. And an elective such as Communications or something is half a credit. I think I'm going to take that too. It sounds cool. It deals with photography, video cameras, and computers for designing things. I'm excited. I'm glad that most of my classes with be only freshman, except Choir Honors and my elective that I choose. So that's a plus. I'm not ready to be around all those older people.
It kind of sucks. You go from the oldest, the highest, to the youngest, and most scared. Look at all the 8th graders picking on little 6th graders. Imagine SENIORS!!!
But luckily I'll know a few juniors. So that could help a little, or maybe alot?!

That's about it. This week seems to be going very slow... Blah  Post more later.

Oh! And Zach got his braces off :) I still haven't seen them though. He just got them off today.
Wednesday: I saw them! They are pretty :) His teeth are perfect. Now mine look bad lol

Mommy for a Weekend

I'm a mommy!! Haha. In FCS class (Family Consumer Science), we have these baby simulators that are computerized. And they are meant to be like a new baby. They cry randomly and you have to burp, feed, rock or change them. I got a boy :(  But he has so many names. Haha. Nick on the bus says "His name should be Nick" and I say "Ok" kind of laughing. Then Nick says "No. I'm not even kidding. His name is Nick, ok?" Haha. Then Joe wants it to be Joe. And Gabby and Travis said Travis James. So I have no idea what to do. Cos we have to make a birth certificate. And they come in this HUGE baby carrier!! I had to bring that thing on the bus. Haha, and I have to on Monday morning. My baby still hasn't turned on yet though. Hehe. The teacher programmed them to turn on at 6. Unless you snapped its neck backwards, then it would cry until 6. :O  Mine's been quiet though :)  So many people held mine. I didn't actually hold it until I got home. Even on the bus I didn't have it. Hah.

So... thats about it. Tell you more about that later. lol

Saturday: My Baby is a dud :(  It DOESNT WORK. I carried that thing on the bus all the way home for NOTHING. And I'm gonna have to do it again. Erg. I'm mad. lol That thing was such a hassel to carry around. Its heavy as asdklfjadwer. And I had to sleep with it, just incase it woke up. Cos Bryan said his didn't turn on until 3 in the morning. So I didn't know if that was gonna happen to me. But it didn't >.< But I still have to wear the wristband... i think ?  I better not get down graded for shaking it or anything, we were trying to wake it up. Hehe.

Half way there

Whooah, were half way there
WHOOAH
Livin on a prayer
Take my hand and well make it - I swear
WHOOOOAH
Livin on a prayer

The school year is officially half over :D (We're half way there) ;)How amazing is that?! This year has gone extremely fast for me. All the teachers said 8th grade would be like torture slow, but its actually gone really fast. But I know, once we hit like May, it's going to take forever to end. ;)  Like last year, from March to May it went fast, then once you start like counting down the days, it takes forever. Like your sitting in your chair saying "10 days will NEVER end"
I'm REALLLYYY looking forward to June. I cannot wait to graduate :D AND LEAVE MAHONE FOREVER. I never have to go back, ever ever ever again. I will be free from that horrible place. I have grown such a... deep hate feeling for that school. Hate IS a strong word, thats why I'm using it :) That place is terrible. It's gotten worse every year I've been there. Listen to this. So, NOBODY likes our assistant principal. And she is the one that does everything, our principal is WAY past retirement, and doesn't do anything. You never see him. And nobody likes our assistant principal. You walk past her in the hall and say hi, or Good Morning Mrs.Knight! and she says nothing. She just keeps on walking. How rude?! She does that to everyone.
Anyways, I think graduation will be great. But what I don't get, they make the 8th graders come back, AFTER WE GRADUATE. And we graduate like a week before the end of school. My mom says they should just get us out. Obviously theres gonna be problems. Seriously. Theres no discipline they can do. What are they gonna do, suspend you? You've already graduated. lol They are just causing issues. It's like they want to get you in trouble, so they can discipline you. Man, my school is a drag.

So obviously, I'm looking forward to high school. I'm utterly terrified, but excited. A new school, new teachers, new people, new classes! Thats what I want. You don't have the boring Math Science English Social Studies. You actually get classes you yourself are interested in. Yay.

Well, thats about it. I just wanted to post. Sooo, peace out.

Ah.

What is it lately? I need a break. I want to say that, but I don't know how it will be taken. I feel terrible about it.

Pretty much:

I'm not doing so hot on my new years resolution.

Competition

was awesome :)   It was nothing like I expected. I honestly thought it wasn't going to be such a big thing, and so many people, and etc... but it was!!! And I have to brag. We WERE amazing. I believe we sang the best we have ever. Mrs. Smith was crying by our last song. And we sang like 9 songs!! That's alot. And it was hot on that stage with the lights shining on you. And at one part, apparently we were so good that they turned off all the lights, and just shined one spotlight on the choir. Pretty amazing.

It was quite an experience, and I'm glad I got the special chance.  We don't find out how we did for a few days.... but I will definately post that when I get the news.

Poof

Isn't it like magic? On your birthday, you just suddenly, without noticing any difference, you turn a year older. 14 for me. :) My birthday was good. I'd say it was just perfect :]

Good news!!! Today was my last day of school this week. WHOO. Tomorrow, they already cancelled school :D and Friday, we leave at 7:30 for state competition. Yay.

14.

That's almost me. Almost.  It still sounds like a little kid to me. Which is good. I don't want to grow up. At least, for a while. Hmm.

Updates:

Bella: Good, gained a pound in a week, devours her food whole, then pukes it up, cutie, whiny, tiny, biter, adorable

Lily: annoying, mean to Bella, cranky, needs to be groomed, lost some excess weight, sleepy

Shadow: never around, annoying when i'm trying to sleep, tiny, cute

Me: SICK OF SNOW, almost my birthday :) state competition in 6 days, only 4 more rehearsals! and apparently in ANOTHER winter weather advisory. We were in the line for 7-9" of snow last night, and supposed to get more all weekend. SO SICK OF IT.

2009 (updated)

Happy New Year!

It's a New Year. I'm planning on making this year right. Fixing everything, and just having fun. That's my new year resolution.

Oh, and to just stay happy! Or just try my hardest to stay happy, look at the bright side of things. I've found that to be a little hard lately.  And I stole one of Emmas, to be more outgoing. Yeah, I think I really need to do that. I started yesterday :) I tried mustard on a pretzel. I tried it, but it didn't turn out as good as my dad said. Mine ended up back on the plate. ;]

OH!! ANDD yesterday, I saw Marley & Me. All I have to say is OH MY GOSH. I cried the whole last 45 minutes. It was SO adorable. And you become attached to the dog, it's so sweet. And at the ending (I'm trying not to spoil anything), we thought Hannah wouldn't really comprehend whats going on, or she wasn't really paying much attention. But the poor kid BURST out into tears. Right at a silent moment, she bursted out crying. My mom and I were laughing, but since we were already crying, everytime we breathed in, it sounded like we were bawling too. And we figured if we didn't laugh, we were going to burst out like Hannah too. But throughout the whole ending, you heard the whole theater crying and sniffling. Then when we were walking out, and they still don't have the lights turned on, this big tough guy says "Nobody can see where they are walking. We all have tears in our eyes." Then somebody laughs. Then he says again "I should have brought a box of kleenex with" We walked out of the theater and all the kids were crying, all the teens were crying, all the moms and dads, everybody. Everybody's eyeliner or makeup was running. Hannah was crying all the way back to the car. It was so sweet. I think that movie might just be my new favorite.
