HELP!

Ok guys. I need help.  My teacher must be clue-less. She gave us this big project due the second day we get back from break. And she thinks we are all gonna have it done... HAH!

But does anybody have ideas of websites. I need to research a subject relating to A Christmas Carol, the boook. I have no idea! And the website she gave us, isn't even a website!! But so I need to write a paper of my research, including a citation page and I need to put together a visual demonstration. So a poster board or power-point or pamphlet, etc... I have no idea where to 1 - find a subject relating to A Christmas Carol, and 2 - what to write about it.

HELP. Even if you know of a website that might help or anything.

Happy (late) Holiday!

How were yours?
My Christmas was good :)

Lets see, I got

Guitar hero

and.....

A PUPPY :D

Yes. I got a little english bulldog. She isn't even 8 weeks old. And her name is Bella :] I don't know where that came from, but it fits. Shes a sleeper. She sleeps probably 20 hours of the day. She's starting to play alot more. She's got more personality. Oh, and she bites alot! It's just because shes teething. But her teeth, if they get you, HURT.  She will chase you if you run. And it's really fun watching her chase Lily. If you throw Lily's ball, Bella will chase Lily, who is chasing the ball. It's really cute.  She's adorable. I love her :D

YAY

SNOW DAY! ! !

We have more than a foot of snow here. It goes half way up our back door. It took us like 15 minutes to get the dog outside to go pee. We couldn't open the door, and once we got it open, there was too much snow. We had to shovel it. Poor dog.

Snuffleupagus

Thats me. I'm snuffling and sniffling. I'm home for the 3rd day in a row. I have like my 3rd sinus infection since the beginning of the school year. And I just had one a few weeks ago. Then the dr. said it never went away from the last one, it just got covered up by over the counter medicine, and once this cold hit, they just attacked harder. He listened to me breathe, and says "You got a heck of alotta congestion!!" Isn't that lovely to hear. It was a doctors office I never went to. My doctor took the day off, so I had to get a different one who worked with her. The lady at the desk in his office was weird O_o  She was like "Yes, I know. Yes. That would be great. Yes, please sit" in a creepy soft voice. Then the nurse didn't talk. She came up to me with the temperature thing that goes under your tongue, and stood there for like a minute cos I didn't know what she was doing. Then with the blood pressure thing, she stood there. I didn't know I had to pull up my sleeve!! And frankly, I don't pay attention in doctors office. I usually find myself staring at the needles or something. They really shouldn't keep those out in the open, it frightens little ones, including myself. ;)  And I found out I have to get my Tetnis shot in spring. yay. *she said rolling her eyes*  Then the doctor  came in, and he didn't stop talking!! And he was a big Cubs fan. Hm, that's not off to a good start. GO BREWERS! OH MY GOSH! Did any of you hear about CC Sabathia??? He's taken the deal with the New York Yankees. They offered him 23 MILLION dollars a YEAR for 7 years!!!!  OH MY GOODNESS. Yankees were jealous of Brewers. They just can't accept that the Brewers are better than them :O
I swear I cannot breathe. Last night and the night before, I could not breathe!  I'm sitting here watching A Muppets Christmas Carol by myself. Its nice. :) No Hannah talking, no dad coughing, etc...  I love this movie. It is so sweet, and has a great message. And of course, the Muppets just make it better. I'm also reading the book in English right now. Well, I just finished it. But obviously, I can't turn it in until Monday.  *Awe, in the movie right now, Scrooge is crying :'( *
Well, I'm gonna look and see if I can figure out anything in math. I don't have any homework right now, but I think I know what they've been working on, so I wanna see if I get it, if not, I will ask my teacher on Monday. Bye.

LA La la

Haha, okay I just wanted to share this because it's a little scary to me. So I was bored this morning, and I went on google and searched "What your looks mean about you quiz" I love online quizzes ;) And I found this one and took it, and it is SOOO me. SCARY.
Heres my results:

You're a Venus vixen: You're an artistic person who looks at the world through rose-colored glasses. You're able to see the potential in people, so you take time to encourage them even after everyone else has lost interest and moved on. You love to be surrounded by beautiful things. It's tough for you to make up your mind, but once you do you seldom change it. You don't tolerate two-faced people, so you've weeded out the bad eggs and built yourself a crew of only true-blue pals. When they're down in the dumps, they come to you for comfort. And there's nothing you wouldn't do for them- except lie. Though you freely give good advice, you don't often listen to your own words of wisdom. You're a famous flirt. While you tend to rush into relationships, you do try hard to make them work. And when they end, you're bummed for eons.

The one part that REALLY shocked me, because its like the quiz KNEW me was this:
"You don't tolerate two-faced people, so you've weeded out the bad eggs and built yourself a crew of only true-blue pals. When they're down in the dumps, they come to you for comfort. And there's nothing you wouldn't do for them- except lie. Though you freely give good advice, you don't often listen to your own words of wisdom."

So of course, the I don't tolerate 2-faced people is totally me. I've "weeded" out the bad eggs and have true friends now. How WEIRD. That's exactly me. EXACTLY. And alot of my friends talk to me about everything. They trust me :) And I give them advice. And the last part, yeahh you know. ;)
But I'm not a "famous flirt". At all, Lol - Especially this year ;) I haven't flirted with anybody at school this year. I've made alot of guy friends, but we don't flirt. It's actually really nice. Guys are fun to talk about girl problems with, cos they won't go telling everybody.

Well this weekend has gone by fast. I don't know why. But luckily, 10 more days of school in 2008!!! :D And this Christmas break is like 16 days :D YAY. THEN!!!! When we come back, its 8 days until my birthday. THEN!!!! The weekend after my birthday we are going to that choir competition. What I like about it - we are either going to get 1st 2nd or 3rd cos there is only 3 choirs going ;) And we have to sing 8 songs infront of like 1000 choir directors. :O  We have 7 songs pretty much down. And the one we still don't have yet, is one we sang last year, so we know it. And we are singing 2 songs from 6th grade.

Nothing more. Bye.

Update.

So my week was okay. I've been in a weird - down mood all week. But then today it lifted, and I was hapyy :)  So lets see, Monday, Mr.Moran bought me candy. Haha, I don't really know why, he just bought them and threw them at me. Then today. When I got off the bus, Nick comes up behind me going "Kayla Kayla Kayla" and I'm like "What?!" then he goes "Watch this!" And throws a snowball at a girl up ahead, but he was messing around. And he slips and falls while throwing it, and the snowball goes over the fence, which was wayy off and I go "Uhm Sorry to tell you but I think you missed" And he goes "Shut up. I slipped!" Haha, kinda made my day. I had a headache all day, so a good laugh helped. Hhm, well thats about all exciting that happened this week. Laaa. Well, tomorrow I finally get to see Twilight :D I think so at least. Last night I babysat until 9! Whooo. That was fun. So I was alone from 7 - 9. I got to watch Polar Express by myself :)  That was nice. I really like that movie for some reason. Well, I'll post probably tomorrow night or Sunday. Adios.

Sunday, November 30, 2008

Hmm.

I've noticed - nobody's been posting lately. Is it the cold weather? Nothing exciting can happen anymore?  Something exciting happens everyday! For me atleast...

What's with the slack in posts?

A night at the roxbury

It has to be one of my favorite movies. I really couldn't think of a title, so I used the movie I'm watching at the moment. Ah, Blah Blah Blahhhh. That's how I feel. Like nothing.

2 DAYS THIS WEEK! :D How super excitingly fantastic is that?! Then! when we come back, we have like 3 weeks, then we have another 2 1/2 weeks off! :) I love it.

Well. I'm bored. It's only 7:30. It looks like its midnight. I miss the summer so much. I miss being able to be outside until 10 with some sunlight and being in shorts and flipflops. This year - I HATE my coat. It is driving me CRAZY. I feel like I'm a huge marshmallow. And my hair gets all static-y. I have to shove my coat into my locker, then fit my bag, and I have a shelf in my locker which holds my stuff, so it makes my locker crammed. I feel bad for the six graders. There are so many this year, that they get those half lockers now. Like the ones you see in movies. One on top, and one below it. I would NOT beable to stand it. My coat wouldn't fit alone. Then we have all our books, and backpacks. Whoa.

Ah. Bye.

Silent concert

So I've had an exciting week. I know it's the middle of the week - but in the last week, its been exciting. So lets see. Sunday I got my hair cut. Shelly took me to her place. My bangs were driving everyone (including me) crazy. Then we get there, and Shelly goes "Just cut all of it" So I got a full makeover. She "texturized" my bangs, so they lay better. I have layers that start the same length as my bangs, then they gradually get longer. It isn't as heavy, so if I'm lazy, I can just let it go curly and it looks good. It also looks good straightened.
Yesterday we had our first  choir  concert of the year.  It was good, until the end. My friend who was standing right behind me passed out because of the heat. And there isn't anything behind the top riser, so she fell on the floor, and when she fell, she hit her head and blacked out. She was laying there out cold for like 2 minutes. I was so shocked. See, I was supposed to stand right next to her, but then I switched with a girl who was taller than me. So I moved the to second row. I would have fallen too. Our concert never had an ending. All the altos ran to her, because we were all closest. Then the sopranos and men on the other side were just staring. We kinda stopped singing. She finally opened her eyes and could answer questions. But man was it HOT up there. All the lights, and all those people crammed into that little auditorium, whoo it was hot. All of us were fanning ourselves and stuff. Even our choir teacher was red! Oh, but about my title. I lost my voice, seriously. So I couldn't sing. If I did, I have to say we would sound TERRIBLE.  I didn't have much 'say' in the concert, if you will. Hah.
Well tomorrow we have  field trip. There's a special Titanic exibit (how do you spell that?!?) at the Milwaukee Museum. Since we are studying the titanic, our teacher is taking us there. Hm. It should be good.   ?

Miss you Zaney! R.I.P

Hm, this past week wasn't the best. It was probably the worst week of school so far. I haven't felt good all week. My tonsels are swollen and pink. My tummy hurt last friday through wednesday. Today, Mr. Plowe's praying mantis died. It was so depressing. Mr. Plowe was sad! We had a funeral for her. Her name was Zaney. We picked her up on our last field trip, about 2 months ago. Since then she had 2 egg sacks and became extremely attached to Mr. Plowe, as he did to her. It was adorable. Every morning he took her on a walk around the school on his hand. I held her. Lots of kids held her. She was a great class pet. This morning, Mr. Plowe picked her up, she looked at him, tucked her arms in and bowed her head, then died. Now, she is in a coffin in a grave that we dug for her in the school yard. She has a tombstone. Saying "More than a mantis to me" How adorable! Then we started singing (in a sad tone) "Na na na na, na na na na, HEY HEY HEY good-bye" I swear we were all tearing up. Who knew how much a bug could mean to you? Ah. So we all gave him a big group hug. Then today we had a pep rally. I must say, that didn't make me feel any better. We have a scream off. Of course, 8th grade won because 6th grade doesn't know what to do at the first rally, and 8th grade voices just over power 7th grade. So that made my headache worse. My head was pounding by the end. But I got over it...

Hm.

*

I've noticed things in the past few days have been really bothering me. Just like the littlest things have been bothering me so bad. It's crazy. Like Hannah and Morgans fighting yesterday, I couldn't stand it! I was going to go crazy if one more comment came out "I have this and you dont. Haha" AHHH. Well, there has also just been alot of drama around here.

Anyways, today should be good. We are going - alone - to the mall. I get to go shopping :D Take out some of that URGGG feeling. So that's a plus. By alone, I mean without Morgan. Without those 2 fighting constantly. Without the constant competition.

Hm, I think that's about all I have to say. Hey, btw- What's wrong with the KMF website? When I go to it, the whole screen is black, and on the top of the page it says "Login" then I have to give a username and password. ??? Am I banned from it?

Election 08

This is probably the first election I've payed so much attention to. Seriously, I really really really do not want McCain to win. This election, I've looked at, examined, everything, the different sides, and I have to say, I side more along with Democratic.

Will Obama win???

Hm

So, I haven't posted in a while. So I'm gonna give you an update on my life.... it's very exciting you know. ;)

Sooo, last week, not much happened. As you know, I cleaned my house. Friday, I went shopping with Shelly.  Saturday, we didn't do much, but then for dinner, we made ribs and chicken with Shelly Zach and Morgan. OOH! And I finally saw Iron Man!!! I've wanted to see it for so long, then Zach brought it over to watch. And we watched Journey to the Center of the Earth. It was pretty good, but IronMan was awesome! :DThen Sunday, we went to the Zion Walmart for really no reason, just my dad knew it would make me mad.  I mean really, we have a Walmart 10 minutes from our house, I don't see why we need to drive 30 minutes to Zion! Then we sat around the house... and then we ate chili for dinner.

Today in school, there was this HUGE fight between 2 of my former friends, and 2 other girls. I guess my 2 former friends, got beat up BIG time. I said Good for Them. They finally see they aren't all that. Of course, I don't believe in fighting and yeah, that sounds mean, but maybe it will knock them back on their feet. I don't know though. Maybe they might just keep doing it, whatever. :)  People came up to me, "Do you know what that was about Kayla?!?!" all I said was "I don't know, I'm not friends with them anymore :)" My hands were clean, and darn it, it felt good!  That's not saying my hands weren't clean all last year either, but last year, if that would have happened, I probably would have been called to the Deans office or something because I hung out with them. This year, I'm free! Anyways, we have testing all this week. 8th grade does the hard testing, and for longer too. But it's awesome too. We test until lunch. Then we have lunch. Then we have 30 minute classes, and our teachers don't want to give us any work because it's the end of the quarter, and they don't want to "over-whelm" us with the testing and work and homework and studying and stuff. So it's good.

Ahh, that's about it.

No fall?

Guess what guys? Wisconsin has officially skipped fall, and has gone straight from summer to winter. I went from wearing a t-shirt to school one day, then the next day, I'm wearing my winter coat. It's SNOWING!!! What's up with that??? It's not supposed to snow in October. It was snowing Monday and Tuesday when we got out of school, and yesterday it was freezing. Today, it's sunny out, but cold.

I think I've broken my pinky again. Hah, that's funny. I broke it on Halloween Day last year, and tomorrow is Halloween, and I think I broke it again. :O I don't think it ever officially healed well, but it's gotten me through a year. I think I'm gonna wear my splint for a few days, possibly. I just remember how annoying that was. And I wore it from October to January. We never had an x-ray done after that... so I don't know. But occasionally it hurts in the spot I broke it, but recently it's been bad. Like right now I can't type with it, or ply the piano with it.

See, I broke it funny. Let me refresh your memory. I hit my finger on the corner of the science lab. And I hit it so hard, it broke off a chunk of my knuckle bone (which they said will never heal back, lol) and I tore the ligaments and bone that goes from the knuckle in my hand to the second knuckle of my pinky finger. And that's where it hurts now. So I hardly had gym last year :D

Um, otherwise, not much going around here. I'm home alone today. Tomorrow, I have no idea what we are doing, except watching "It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown". Haha, when we were handing out candy on Sunday, which was stupid, there was an old fashioned costume. A kid cut 2 holes in a white sheet and threw it over himself. I say "Charlie Brown is coming!!" but luckily he didn't hear me :)
Kay, one more thing before I go. So white caps went trick - or - treating on Sunday, when everybody knows we have actual Halloween day off. The whole school district has these 2 days off, and I think we should have gone tomorrow. I mean, we went trick or treating a whole WEEK before Halloween. It's not right. Erg. But supposedly there is a place to vote online to change the rules for next year.

Now it's Later:

GUESS WHAT GUESS WHAT GUESS WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! I am soooo proud of myself. So since I was home alone today, Shelly invited me to go to Subway with her and the kids.  So when I got home, I got to work. I vacuumed, dusted and picked up the downstairs. I vacuumed, dusted, cleaned part of the bathroom made my moms bed, made my bed, made Hannah's bed, picked up my room, made my moms dresser visible again (it was a mess), and... The most amazing- I cleaned Hannah's entire room. It was a MESSSS! It looked like a tornado came through and ripped up her dresser, her drawers, her floor, her bed, her closet. I straightened up her dresser, I took all the clothes out of all her drawers and refolded them and put them back in, I eventually got to her bed, by going through the mountain of toys and clothes on top of it and hanging those up, I picked up her floor. You can see Hannah's room again! :O That's a surprise for even Shelly, she doesn't know I did that yet.... and she knows how messy her room was. Everyone did, haha. My mom has been talking about cleaning it up for weeks now, and I had nothing to do... So I did it :D I can't wait until my mom gets home now. I'm not even gonna tell her, I'm gonna let her see everything as she goes past it.  So I cleaned my whole house, all by myself, on my day off. Yayayay!  I think part of the reason I did it was because I knew that if I didn't, we would be cleaning all day tomorrow, with my mom and Hannah (which isn't fun). My mom gets all stressed and crabby. Also, I wanted to make it up to her. Tuesday night, we got in a big fight, so I feel better now. And also, tonight my mom can chill and hang out with Shelly instead of stressing about the house.

I've made it!

Tomorrow is the last day of first quarter.... amazing right?!  It feels like we just started last week. I have to say, it's gone by alot faster, and better, than expected. I seriously had a bad feeling that this year was going to absolutely suck. But it probably has been my favorite year of middle school.

Today, I got like 200 some points in Social Studies for participating. See, in social studies, you get 3 grades, which average out your grade. Those are your test score, your notes, and participation. And you get points by answering questions, reading, etc... in class. I answered a bunch of questions today, because it was review for our test tomorrow. Our teachers are stressing out trying to get us all caught up, because after tomorrow, missing assignments go to 0 in the grade book. :O uh oh... nah, I have no missing work :)

Eh, that's about it. I'm tired. I'll post sometime this weekend, we got a 4 day weekend. WHOOO.

:)

Ok, so I'm dying to know what people think. What'cha think??? Of the run? Of the weekend? Of Zach??  :)

I personally thought it went great, except Friday... but that's my issue. I'm sure everybody else thought it was fine. I thought Saturday was alot of fun. Even though it was super cold, it certainly helped us not to take any of it for granted, which was quite possible if the weather was "perfect".
Those are my thoughts, I have more. But right now, I have a migrane from like 9 this morning and I'm SUPER tired. So bye.

As Usual...

So as you know, tomorrow is Katie Memorial Foundations' first annual fun run through the forest preserve. This past week, I think it's finally hit me. Everyday, it got harder and harder to go to school, school got more and more boring, I began to pay less attention. Then I'd smack myself and say "It's going to be okay!!" Then I could get my head back into it. Monday, wasn't bad. Tuesday, I had a bad morning, so I talked to Mrs. Peterson for an hour er so. I showed her KMF's website, she said she really wanted to come to the run tomorrow, but her daughter has Solo and Ensemble tryouts. I tried telling my 6th grade science teacher this week, but every time I went in her room, she said she was busy. So that didn't get around to her. I told my friends, but they all had tickets to see the premiere of High School Musical 3, LOL!!! I was like "You have fun with all those little kids!" Haha. Eh, I don't think I'm that close yet with them that I'd want them at a big family event like this.... Then Wednesday it was okay because I knew I got out early.... everything was going to be shorter. Then yesterday, was fine. I really wanted to go to English because we are watching "The Sixth Sense" which I LOVE that movie. But how lame is this? She handed out a test on it, and it's our final assessment for 1st quarter. Can we ever just watch a movie and not take notes or have a test on it?!?! Erg, it's frustrating. At least it's a good movie. And so my homework for missing today is to rent the Sixth Sense and finish my test. Ahah. I'm like OKAY! :D That's the best homework ever.
Well, today after Hannah's doctor appointment (>_<) I think we are going to Grandma's. Finally see my cousins after 3 months. :P

Today's Emmas' Birthday!! Believe it or not.

Big Bad World

Well, my piano concert went well. My hands were so shaky though. Shelly, Zach and Morgan came, and Grace's grandparents came. I did my 2 songs, then at the end, Grace and I did Colors of the Wind together. She sang and I accompanied her. My mom and Grace's mom were tearing up. Hah, saps. ;P  I got back to my seat and Zach made fun of me because he could see my hands shaking, it was crazy. But funny. Then afterwards, Hannah, Morgan, Zach and I went to Culver's. Yum ^_^
Well, this weekend has been good too. I've watched Aladdin probably 5 times, I've got it memorized. I've come to a conclusion too, I love that movie!! Aladdin and Peter Pan are like the best Disney movies.
Tomorrow, we are going to the pumpkin patch by our house. It's called "Borzinskys" Or something, it's pronounced Bor-Zin-Skies(as in ski, not sky)- so I don't know how you spell it. They have the best caramel apples! They have tubs of like 5 different types of apples, then you can get the apple on a stick or they will core it for you, then its covered in caramel, then they have tubs of toppings. Oreos, M&M's, sprinkles, etc....

*P.S. My title is the first song on my new album by the Plain White T's. I love it, you should definatley buy it!

Ah!

Going to my piano recital, Wish me luck!!! xP

Tuesday, October 14, 2008

I am talking to Katy.

That was my reply to Mr. Moran today in class. Haha. I was sitting by my friend Katy, and we were quietly talking about something, and Mr. Moran screams "What are you doing?!?!" And I answer in a cheerful voice, like nothing is wrong and say "I am talking to Katy" And smile, then Mr. Moran goes "Oh, okay" Haha. I love it when I answer in a happy voice, then people don't have a response. I did that to my mom today. She comes in the room when I'm on the computer and screams "What are you doing?!" and I say "I am checking my blog. What are you doing?! :)" She couldn't reply. Hah. Well, this week has been pretty good. Monday I had a field trip. We went to the Marcus Theater of Performing Arts and saw 5 20 minute skits. VERY BORING! It was the same 4 actors for all the plays. And the first play was "The Tell-Tale Heart" and so, we saw the guy killing the old man. Then in the last play, he was a cowboy. It was almost impossible to change my perspective of him though, from an insane murderer to a cowboy chewing on straw. It didn't work out right... So it was kind of funny. Then today, nobody felt like doing anything because yesterday we were gone all day, and tomorrow we have half  a day. YAY ^_^  Highschoolers have the whole day off :P  So today, Zach was bragging about it. I threw a huge pile of leaves at him. :) Haha, I just remember something. Yesterday, we went to the new Target Greatland or whatever that just opened by our house with Shelly and Zach. And as we were checking out, Shelly told me to smell the new cologne Zach was buying. But I couldn't smell it, so I sprayed alot of it all over my body. Then I ran a circle around Zach and said "Do I smell good? I smell like you!" Then he said "Do you like it?" and I go "Of Course, thats why I sprayed it all over myself" Haha.

Well, I'm pretty bored. School is still super easy. OH! But I loved being an OWL. I get to go back to my 6th grade english class. It's funny because the desks are the exact same they were when I was there, so I immediatley see all my friends, I remember good memories, I remember learning. I remember sitting on the floor, because my chair was never comfortable. I wish I could go back to 6th grade, everyone was so innocent, so un-stereotyped. Everyone was still themselves from elementary school. Now I look at everyone, everyone has changed SOO much, it's crazy. I look at friends I used to hang out with, and see how snobby they have become. I see people who were "cool" in elementary school, and now are complete nerds. O_o How do you do that? Uh, I cannot wait until highschool. It's crazy. Thats all I think about anymore.... I just wish I was there. I hate my school so much. It's the school, like I love my friends, I just hate the school. The assistant principal, the teachers, the atmosphere. It's just, ugh.

Anyways, on a happier note.... well, I said my happier note earlier. That's about all the news for now. I'll probably post Friday or Saturday. Bye(:

Saturday, October 11, 2008

SO.

It's officially another weekend, here. This week went pretty fast unusually O_o. I think it was cos everybody, the whole week, was in a good mood. That just makes everything better. This coming Monday, we are going on a field trip, so that's a plus. But we have to watch the play "The Tell-Tale Heart" by Edgar Allan Poe, which is really disturbing, as I might have mentioned before. Yuck. It's basically a petty field trip because the teachers feel we need a trip. All it is is seeing a bunch of skits at an opera house or something.... then getting McDonald's for lunch. Whoooo, not very exciting. But oh well, it's a day less of learning ;) Then also, Monday I start OWLing. Haha. I'm an owl :D It's an Older Wiser Learner. There's like 30 8th graders that got picked to be them, it's tutoring 6th and 7th graders. I got assigned to the house I was in in 6th grade, so I get to see all my old teachers :)

Last night, I went to the Bradford homecoming football game with Zach, then when we got there, we met up with Bryan and his girlfriend. I have to say, it was more fun than I expected... except I forgot my contacts. xP How pathetic is that!?! Bryan was making fun of me saying "Oh I can't see, but I don't remember my contacts" laughing. :P He wears contacts too, that's why I think it was funnier to him. But Bradford won :) Like 46 to 24 or something. Hehe. I was so tired thoughh. Oh well. I had fun.

Now, we are practically giving the house a makeover, we are cleaning EVERYTHING. Right now, it's 11:30, we've been cleaning since 9:30, straight, no breaks. But my cleaning is done.! YAY! But then after lunch, we are going to Gurnee Mills with Shelly Zach and Morgan. Then going to Outback for dinner. :)

Umm....... I'm gonna go. Adios.

My Weekend.

This weekend was pretty good :) So I figured I would write about it. So Friday, I got home, and my mom and Shelly were working the garage sale we had this weekend. I guess it was fine? Haha, this time, we didn't make much money... oh well. Then they closed up when me and Zach got home, and we went out to dinner with them. Then we went to their house afterwards.  Then Saturday we all worked the garage sale.   Haha, well actually me and Zach stayed inside the whole time watching movies while our moms worked the garage sale... But we helped a little. ;) Then around 3, me, my mom, dad and Hannah left for the playoffs at Miller Park. They won!! :DD Unfortunatley, I think that's the only game they will win. I'm watching the game right now, and its 6 to 1, Brauns batting with Cameron on 3rd. Brewer's losing. Eh. Atleast we saw their winning game :)  OOHHH!!! AND CAMERON JUST SCORED!!! WHOOOO. Haha, Braun hit it deep left field. Yay ^_^  Then I got a new t-shirt. I got... of course, Ryan Braun. :) I have a Hardy shirt, but Brauns just too darn good, and good looking ;) to not have his shirt. And we also got a baseball with Brauns signature on it, and his picture. And my mom got a Wildcard shirt. And we got Zach a Brewer's WildCard Pennat.  Hm, that was my Saturday. Today, we went out to breakfast, and around 3:30 me and Zach are going to see Eagle Eye. :O It looks really good. It's with Shia LeBoufe or however you spell his name, hah. Supposedly he gets mysterious phone calls from somebody threatening the lives of him and his family and friends. I'll tell my review when I get back.  Today's a pretty crappy day. Grey and rainy, and I have a headache. Oh well.

Kay, now it's later, I just don't wanna make a new post. So I went to see the movie Eagle Eye. I found it pretty good. It was very intense. And there was alot of the "S" word. Anyways, within the first 10 minutes of the movie, I was tearing up.... I won't give anything away, just that. The reviews gave it an average 3 out of 5 stars. That's probably what I would give it too. I only jumped once too :D That's shocking for me, in an intense movie. It was a part that wasn't expected, and I jumped and grabbed Zach's arm. And I think I almost fell asleep a few times. I was sooo tired, I still am. But some noise would always grab my attention. I thought that the movie was so different than what I thought Shia LaBeouf would do, but I like variety. Some parts of it were like duh! But literally, there was like no laughing. It was so serious. Occasionally a guy would make a joke, you would laugh once, then it would be serious again.  But I liked it. :)

Oh my gosh guys. Emma is too funny. I mean... Santa is. He says elve's would beat a wrestler and the Easter bunny in a fight because they are all jacked up on maple syrup. I CANNOT STOP LAUGHING.

New quote.

I think I found my new favorite quote:

"Life is short, Break the rules, Forgive quickly, Kiss slowly, Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably, And never regret anything that made you smile."

I love it. :)

Finally.

So I finally found the cord for my camera.... it was lost, again. ;) But yeah, here's the pictures I took at Hannah's birthday party.

The last picture, from left to right is Brianna's feet, mine, then Zachs. Haha, Brianna took it.

Bridesmaid 5-8-04

So, about my title. I really couldn't think of one, so I looked down and saw the bracelete that I wear everyday. The one all us nieces and nephew* got from Aunt Katie's wedding. I saw the charm inscribed "Bridesmaid 5-8-04" with little wedding bells on it, and thought, "That's it"  I'm really sad though. The charms are wearing off. The bridesmaid is blurry, the blue heart has a white scratch across it, and my mickey mouse charm already lost one ear.  Oh well, you can tell it's gone to good use :) The funny thing is, I feel different when I forget it one day. Like Thursday I forgot it because it fell behind my bed, and the whole day at school I felt kind of just, bummed. Same with my friendship bracelet me and Grace both have. It's a little cheapy bracelet with wooden beads on it, that we got from Action Territory (haha), but we made them our friendship braceletes. They were the last 2... so it kind of fit. Then we went back to her house, and got some weird book on curses and myths and stuff, and it said the true friendship bracelet should be covered in rose oil and while doing this, we had to have 4 candles lit, and no other lights on. We covered the other ones bracelet, then gave it back. And we swore we would wear it everyday, on our left hand only. I don't know, something she thought of. But's it's fun. I see it, and think "Grace" . ... What would Grace do in this situation, call Grace, I miss Grace. Anything. You know, we haven't seen eachother in almost a YEAR!!! And yet we live 15 minutes away from eachother. Last time we saw eachother was our last piano recital, back in October '07.  Too longg. This year at our piano recital, we are doing a duet together. We are doing Colors of the Wind from Pocahontas, and I'm playing piano, she's gonna sing. It should be fun :)

Well, today is Hannahs birhday party (my little sister). She turns 5 Monday. She's really excited. Our house is covered in pink and yellow. The theme is Spongebob, so pink for patrick, yellow for spongebob. I didn't get it until half way through decorating. ;)  The party should be fun. Our ex-neighbors the Shane's are coming, so Hannah's friend Benjamin, and Andrew Brianna and Joseph are coming too. Zach and Morgan and Shelly. Then some people from my dad's work. And our neighbors Ben and Lucy and their 3 kids, Tyler, Baylor, and CJ.  Eh, we'll see how this goes. Morgan, Baylor and Hannah tend to fight mostly any minute they are together... Its funny because they can play so nice together, they can be silent, then Morgan's brags about how she can do something better than Hannah or just do something Hannah can't because Morgan is 7 and Hannah is 4, well, almost 5. That's gets Hannah heated, then she fights back. Then they come running to the mom's. Morgan usually crying, and Hannah throwing a fit.

Oh and I forgot, in English, we have been studying Edgar Allan Poe, and let me say, he disturbs me.... alot. We read "The Tell-Tale Heart" which is about a guy who kills an old man because of his "vulturous" eye. How creepy is that??? Then we had to watch it. And we had to see the guy cutting off the old guys arms. EWW!

Good Kodak Moments :D

Hi Guys(:

Hah, my title is like my new favorite phrase to say. I walk into every class and scream "Hi guys!" :) Haha, it kind of gets me motivated to start. Anyways... like my new headline?  It's an inside joke. John thought of it for me. Isn't he nice? Sorry John, if you don't like it, tell me and I'll change it.  Or you know, you can do what we talked about. Just get your revenge somehow. I'll accept it ;)  Or I can just come to San Fransisco?

In other news, today was pretty good. I really like Mr. Moran, he knows how to make me laugh. Like today in advisory  I walked in and said "Kayla" then put 2 fingers up, like the peace sign, or like the number 2, and I didn't know what he was doing, So I said "two?" and he just kept doing that... so then I did it, and he said "Yeah." Haha, then went back to work. I was like "okay?" eh, but his class is REALLY boring. I found myself staring at the red hand going around the clock for the last 10 minutes of class. Whooo.

And I found this and love it!

Whitecaps Crash.

So I'm sure some of you heard about the helicopter crash in Kenosha early Sunday morning... and if you didn't, well there was. ;)  It was only 2 blocks away from our house. It was 5:30 Sunday morning, and a man and his finacee` were coming home from a trip to Indiana. It was REALLY foggy that morning. Like so foggy we couldn't see Shelly's house. But they were coming home, and they couldn't see. And the helicopter flew sideways into a house, splitting it completely in half. The 2 in the helicopter died, but the family in the house managed to get out. Parents were on one side of the house and the 3 kids were on the other side. Somehow avoiding the helicopter. The kids were 2, 6, and 9. And the house the helicopter crashed into is right across the street from the Elementary School, so its kind of scary for those kids. It was on the front page of the newspaper this morning... and it's all over the news. It was on the t.v., on all the news websites. A bunch of news people were driving up and down our street yesterday. Chicago was up, Milwaukee came down, a bunch of other people were here too. It was crazy. Helicopter pieces are all up and down the street, in the neighbors yard... The house has to be torn down, there is NO way to repair it.
This is the second air crash we've seen in whitecaps since we've lived here... 10 years.  One summer, when I was probably in 2nd or 3rd grade, we were at the Moore's house (our neighbors down the street). And we were in their backyard, having a party with a bunch of other people, and out of nowhere a plane came crashing down into, what was then, the field behind our house. Now it is a bunch of houses, but it was just a mud and grass field. We used to play around back there. Go sledding, run around, play hide and seek, we'd find jewels, bottle caps. It was fun. I remember seeing that plane come down though. It was so frightening. The guy flying the plane lost both arms and both legs, and broke a bunch of ribs and stuff. Scary stuff man. So my dads whole life, living in Waukegan, right by an airport, he never saw any crashes. Now, 10 years living here, not by a big airport, we've seen 2. O_o

Here's some links to some websites about the crash.

100.

Well, this is officially my 100th post. But that's not the reason I'm posting this. I was hoping I'd get a happy 100th post, but I came to write out this post, when I realized it was my 100th.

See Worst Dream Ever Here:

So I was somewhere, not sure. The setting is never really certain in my dreams. But I got a phone call, and it was Aunt Katie. She was still alive!!! She was still in Romania. So then I get all happy. I feel PERFECT! My life is great. Then like, the next day, she dies.  And that just makes me WAYYY more depressed than ever.

How depressing is that? So I woke up, and was just kinda down all day. I saw my friends while driving around White Caps with Shelly, and just didn't feel like hanging out with them. Arg. Arg. Arg. Arg.!

So my unconscience is getting me happy, and trying to help me. Then my self-conscience annoying self comes along and bursts my bubble, reminding me it's not possible.

Yost is toast

For the Brewer's. Haha, I love that headline.  But OH MY GOSH! The Brewer's fired Ned Yost!! I never really liked him anyways, but shocking.... He always seemed kinda mad, or like the Brewer's should always be playing better, no matter how well they were doing.

Well in other news, my french teacher called my house AGAIN! Today right before we were leaving to go to dinner, she called and said "Do you know if Kayla is still in French?" and my mom is like "No, we talked to the dean. She said Kayla is out" in like an angry/annoyed voice. Then the teacher is like "Ok." and as my mom was going to hang up I yelled "I don't like you" :) But I don't think she heard me. My mom laughed. Tomorrow I'm gonna talk to the dean, and to the french teacher. Be like "Stop calling my house!" Haha.

School is, surprisingly, going great. I actually like going. Lunch has to be my favorite. Our lunch table does not stop laughing. And it's great, because I haven't laughed like that in sooo long, and it feels great to. Then today my friend tripped on the stairs and fell on me. We both had to stay still for a minute, in order not to pee our pants from laughing so hard. It was hilarious.

That's about all the news for today. Thank you, and have a great day. (I'm a news cast reporter today(: )

*#@!

I really hate my french teacher. Last night she called me house saying I've been truant 5 times to her class! I've only gone to school 5 days! And I went last Tuesday and Wednesday. Was absent Thursday and Friday, then Monday I told her I wasn't going to be there because I had alot of work to catch up on. Then Monday night, my mom called and got me out.
So today, Mrs. Riedlinger (the dean of students) pulled me aside and asked me "Where have you been going 10th period?" and I said "Mr. Morans" and she told me I was supposed to be in french. I told her my mom got me out, and she said she was going to tell her that and get rid of all my truancies. Haha. WHOO!  Apparently she likes me better this year :) Last year, she HATED me.

Well today was pretty good. I guess Angelica was serious when she said she wasn't mad at me. Because today in choir, when the rest of the class was up putting their music away, neither of us had music, and she came up and stood in front me just smiling. Then she waved and I waved. Then she started talking to me. Haha. I don't know about people these days. O_o

...

So today, I realized something. I REALLY flipping love my teachers. I have the best feeling that this year is going to be amazing.
But I REALLY REALLY REALLY want to/am going to drop out of French. The teacher is the biggest meanie ever. Today, I had ALOT of stuff to makeup and everything, and I had to do it during advisory, because we can't take the books home, and everything was from the books, and in class we were busy. So I asked Mr. Moran if I could stay in his advisory to work on everything and he said that would be good to do, but he told me just to tell the french teacher I would miss JUST today. So my friend and I went down there, because she was going to help me in the house, and I told the teacher this. "Mrs. Towers, Mr. Moran said I should stay up in his room and work on all the stuff that I'm missing from Thursday and Friday, but I'm coming back to class tomorrow." And she started YELLING at me. Like seriously. People in the hall could hear her. She's like "This is a highschool class. You signed up for it. You commited to it. Blah Blah Blah." and she kept yelling for like 3 minutes straight until I looked at her like "Uh, EXCUSE ME?!?!" Then she said "You go back to your class and get your stuff and get back down here." I was like "Well, uh, I have alot of stuff I have to make up, and I can't bring the books home or anything." And she's like "Do it during lunch then!" So then we left, and my friend is like "She had no reason to yell at you like that!" And I'm like "I know!" Then I never went back. :) I stayed in Mr. Moran's. Now my mom says I can drop out, because that's bogus, and I don't get yelled at for no reason, especially by someone I don't know. So yepp, that was my advisory. I loved it.
Mr. Moran was so funny too. In advisory he started singing "Kayla. Ka Ka Ka Ka KAYLA!" Like that song that goes "Lola...." er whatever. Haha, he always starts singing old songs. But he's REALLY extremely nice. Like today, he gave me the quiz that I missed, and after I tried doing it, I was like "I don't get this." And he's like "Oh you weren't here for the movie were you? I'll just give you a pass on this. Don't worry." And all my other teachers were extremely nice about it. Today in english, we had a test on like nouns and verbs and everything. I told her I was gone, and she said I could either take it today, or tomorrow. I decided I'd take it today. And she told me that if I did bad, she would let me re-take it. And in Math, she pulled me aside right away and gave me everything I missed, got me my book and everything. In science I didn't really miss anything, so there wasn't anything, but Mr. Plowe did ask if I was feeling better, and he was glad I was back. :) They are all so caring.

I've also realized, I'm so much nicer this year.  Strange right? Haha. JUST KIDDING. It's not strange at all to me. Like today, we got to work in partners, and my friend and I were working by this girl who really doesn't talk much, and doesn't have too many friends. And after a few words, I asked her to join us. I felt so good. I know it's nothing big to others, but I admit it, that's something I would have never done last year. And I'm ashamed of that. I'm trying so hard to change my ways. And to change what people think of me. Like my teachers from last year, know that I'm nothing like those other girls... Now atleast they know ;)

Ah, that's about it. Today in choir we listened to the recording we made last year, that we won with :) And we got our seating chart. I sit by 2 of my friends :D I love Mrs. Smith, but not so much choir. :p

Choir Competition

I totally forgot to write about this! But on the first day of school, when we went to choir, our teacher told us that we had been chosen as one of the 3 best choirs in Wisconsin. :D

At the end of last year, we made a professional CD to send in, because we are our teachers best group she's ever had, and we wouldn't find out until this year. And finally we found out. We are going to competition January 15. It's a 2 night field trip to Eau Claire, like 4 hours away :) She said we are going to work our butts off, then take a break. We almost got this in 6th grade, but we were not great yet. And now, we are the first middle school to go in our school district. And! This competition is for choirs Kindergarten through college. And the CD they got was 7th grade! Whoooo!

I find this totally amazing from us. Because at the beginning through middle of 6th grade, we were BAD! Like we were getting in trouble everyday, our counselor had to come in to lecture us. Haha. Now our teacher always tells us how proud she is that we turned ourselves back on the right path, because even though we were bad, she knew that we were a great choir.

But yeahh, I can't believe I forgot that. But because of the cost of that, we won't get to go to Chicago for a day like we usually do. We get coach buses and everything for the Eau Claire trip :D I'm so excited.

Baseball Game

The game last night was pretty awesome. We went into the 12th inning. I was pretty bored like the 9th and 10th innings, but then my tylenol kicked in, haha. Then I got hyper, and was forcing Zach to dance to the music. Yeah, he ended up coming, my dad pooped out. This time though, we knew that there was no McDonald's, so we didn't go looking for it. But I almost wasn't allowed back in when we went to get cashews for my mom and Cindi and Dan. On the level we were on, they check your tickets at every door, and I didn't have mine. My mom took it so I didn't loose it. Haha. But the guy heard us talking about it before we got to the door, and let me in(:
It was funny, in the left field, there is a circle of dead grass. It's where Braun stands all the time. So this time, he was standing a little off, hah.

I have to say, I love baseball games!

8th grade start off

Well, today I'm home sick for the second day in a row. I lost my voice, I have a sinus infection and an ear ache. So last night, we went to the walk in clinic, I think that place is so bogus. We waited for a half an hour IN THE EMERGENCY ROOM, then once the doctor finally came in, he was in and out in less than a minute. HOW ANNOYING! I'm like "You couldn't do that before we waited so long??? I'm sure you had a minute where you were just sitting around, and could have been helping me." I was so mad, I like didn't smile or say anything to anybody. And the guy is like "So what's wrong with you today?" and I replied "Uh, I'm sick." Thinking... "DUH! I thought you were the smart one here" Haha, oh yeahh, I have an attitude if I want to(:   Hah, and usually when you go to the walk in clinic, they bring you to like a room that looks like an office, but this time they brought me to this ER room with a stretcher and a monitor and everything and a bunch of needles and ewwww. I was like "Gee thanks. This makes me feel better" Then a bunch of male doctors were walking around and I found it funny how they all look so tough, but are wearing crocs and purple scrubs. Not to offend anybody. it's just like I picture my dad or somebody in that, and laugh. But then so the "Dr." walks in, says Whats wrong, I reply like a typical non-patient 13 year old, I say I have green snot... which is lovely may I add, he says "You have a sinus infection. THATS IT. It's like, Uh I could have figured that out, and I just started 8th grade, didn't you pay a bunch of money to learn that? Then some nurse walks in gives me a piece of paper and bye. Arg, I hate hospitals.

Well, tonight we are going to a Brewer's Game with my parents friends Cindi and Dan, and possibly Zach is coming, not sure yet though. He's in school, haha. Nah, I actually like school.

Typical-ness

Of course, second day of school, I'm sick.  Runny, stuffy nose. Red tonsels, that hurt! Watery eyes, and I'm just so tired! I'm like run down, pooped.  Today, we did nothing! Once again.

In math we played Heads up 7 Up. Haha, real original. Science, I guess we kinda did. We studied observations, and we had to explain a pencil and a badmitton racket as descriptive as possible. English was stupid. We drew symbols representing us.... BORING. Social Studies we took a test. Haha, just what we all want to do now. It was on our states, that we know by now. Blah. Like, I memorized all them in 5th grade, we learn EVERY SINGLE YEAR. And we are taking a test in english tomorrow. Whoo. I love it. Oh well.  I have to say, lunch has been the best! I haven't laughed that hard in a REALLY LONG time. But lunch right now is all screwed up. They changed lunch, so now we have 4 lunch periods. 6th grade is all together and is 11:30 - 11:55. Then 2 7th grade houses go together from 12 - 12:30. Then 2 8th grade houses go together (Us, and Mohican) from 12:35 - 1:00. Then 1 7th grade house and 1 8th grade house go together from 1:10-1:40.  On wednesdays, my lunch is 10 minutes shorter than all the others. NO FAIR! My mom is like "That's not right!" And the lunch before us is always behind, so today we didn't go to lunch until 12:30 and we were back in the room by 12:50. That's NOT enough time. They had to split up 7th grade because it is WAY too big this year and can't fit all those kids. They have atleast 34 kids in everyclass. That is not good. Our building is only fit to hold 800 kids, and we have over 1000. Yikes!

First day, outta the way

My first day is over, officially, i'm an 8th grader :) It finally feels like it. We got out lanyards and ids, and let me say, they are hidious! They are BRIGHT yellow, that goes with like nothing! Haha, oh well.

I made quite a few new friends today :)  And my one friend in my class, her name is Kathryn, and goes by Katie. I feel alot better being out of that group too. I have alot more confidence and blah blah blah. They are really strict this year, seriously. ALOT. Like our shirts MUST be covering our collar bones, or we are in trouble. Today my friend Katie (not the Kathryn Katie, a different Katie) got in trouble, and her shirt was made as a rounded collar shirt, it was just stretched out a little. CRAZY! And if you get sent to the OC just one time, you get a referral.

But all my classes are good. All my teachers let us chew gum, as long as we aren't like obnoxious with it, snapping it our chewing with our mouths wide open. My social studies teacher, Mr. Moran was apparently in the Vietnam War, and like everything he talks about brings up a story of his from the war, so then of course he has to talk about it. And he talks all in monotone, so its REALLY boring. Gosh, I think he told us atleast 3 or 4 stories just today! Ah. In english, we did a little "get to know you" game. And one girl said she went mountain hiking over the summer and the first thing she says is "And I saw a bear!" and the teacher and her kept going on about how scary it sounds, and how scary it was and whatever. I just sunk down, and looked around. My math teacher just graduated in May, and shes a girly girl who thinks shes all that. My science teacher is my favorite. Mr. Plowe. He's really cool. He was reading us the rules (for the 2nd out of the 4 times we heard them today) and he read off "No gum chewing" then started chewing his gum with his mouth wide open on purpose, teasing us. Then he said "Nah just kidding, I'm not big on that one" :) Haha. He kept making jokes the whole class, getting us in the mood for school. He's a Brewers fan too!! :D Him and my english teacher are. My french 101 class, is going to suck. I have all 3 girls that I"m not friends with anymore in it, and I sit by one. But whatever, she'll get over it (: They all kept looking at me, then I told my friend and I'm like "They look at me 'cuz I'm pretty :)" Ah,  I had a pretty great first day overall.

Vacation

Home! I'm home. Can't say I'm glad to be home, but I'm here, in Kenosha, once again.
Disney was..... good. For me, it wasn't "magical", but it was good to get away. I got to ride my favorite ride 4 times :) The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror :o  It's my all time favoritee. You sit in an "elevator" with 20 other people, with nothing but a seatbelt, and you go up 13 stories and drop straight down at random. Then you go ALL the way up, and a window opens up and you stop for a second and you can see the whole park, then when you drop, it takes your picture. We got Hannah to go on it with all of us, and we got our picture. It's pretty awesome. We got the front row too(: And my mom and I have our hands up in the air, my dad is laughing looking at Hannah and this is the funniest, Hannah's face is totally mellow. As if we weren't dropping or anything, just like she was in an elevator. And all the other people in the elevator are screaming and laughing. It's awesome.
We also stayed and watched "Spectro Magic" at Magic Kingdom. It was at 9, it was a parade all lit up. We  got alot of pictures. That WAS "magical".  What I loved most about it, was how nice people are there, and they are all in good moods. And whenever you check out of a store or anything, they say "You have a magical day" I love it. Hannah and I saw Pluto, Pooh, Eeyore, Tigger, and Piglet. And we had breakfast with Pooh, Tigger, Mary Poppins, Alice in Wonderland and the Mad Hatter. He was my favorite. He gave me a lesson on gravity. He kept making me stand up, then sit down.... about 7 times. And the first time he told me to sit down, I looked at him, like "uhh, you're going to pull the chair out" and apparently he got my look, because then he said "I'm not going to do it, I promise!" Then Alice came over and he made me show her. Then he's like "See, it's easier to sit down, than to stand up, right? All thanks to gravity." Haha

But also, I found some of Disney hard for me. Like, we did Splash Mountain, and that of course is all about Brer Rabbit. It's a water ride, where you go through whatever land that is, and then you plunge down a 50 foot drop into the Briar Patch. But um, through out the ride, it has Brer Fox and... Brer Bear. I always found myself looking the other way at those parts. No matter how "funny" it was, I couldn't look. Also, when we were in line to see Winnie the Pooh, he had to go "get some hunny" and Hannah asked my mom, "Why does he have to get hunny" and my mom replied "So he stays happy. Otherwise - nevermind, I'm going to stop there" and that kind of ruined the moment of hugging Pooh for me. But Eeyore was good, he's my favorite :)

Well, these are all the rides we rode.

Magic Kingdom - Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain, Haunted Mansion, Stitches Great Escape

Hollywood Studios - Tower of Terror, Rockin' Roller Coaster (starring Aerosmith), Muppet Vision 3-D

Epcot - Test Track

Animal Kingdom - Expedition Everest

I loved it all, except Stitches Great Escape. You kept expecting something, and it was soo lame.

Ah, well, tomorrow, my first day of 8th grade. I'm SOOOOO not ready. I'm quite nervous, actually. I'll write about it tomorrow. >_<

This is sad.

So I'm pretty busy the rest of summer. It's gonna FLY by, here's my schedule-

Tomorrow - Having a "party", Shelly, her husband Travis, Zach, Morgan, and our other neighbors Ben and Lucy are coming over to hang outtt

Saturday - Going to Ben and Lucy's for another "party"

Sunday - Possibly going to school to bring my stuff to my locker, considering I'm going to have to miss open house. >_<

Monday - Babysitting Dani, an 18 month baby (:

Tuesday - I think I'm going to Katie's Meadow if the weather is good.

Wednesday through Labor Day (Monday) - We're gone :O  DISNEY WORLD I SAY :D Then we get back on Monday about 2 p.m. and the next day I start school. :'( Ahhhhhh.

Check out my new picture :)  It was taken in the car ride home from Chicago. Zach stole my camera and was talking a bunch of random pictures of everybody in the car, and I happened to like this one.(:

Train station memories

Yesterday, we went to the train station in Chicago to pick up Zach. He took the train to Quincy for a week, and we went with Shelly to get him, so she wouldn't be alone the long car ride. But while we were there, all I could see and think of was Katie running down the stairs with her arms wide open and me running into her arms. I remember getting off the train and having a HUGE grin on my face. It was one time that Grandma, my mom and I took the train to Chicago to spend the day there with her. When we were going down the stairs yesterday,  I could see it all, like it was yesterday. We got the same popcorn that we got with Aunt Katie. Its funny how some things are so clear and vivid, while some you don't remember at all. I remember, that was my first trip to the American Girl Store. I remember being 7, almost 8, and Katie teasing me because the box the dolls come in say "8+".

It's amazing how much I can write about her, memories, thoughts, missing her... I could write all night.

Well, we ended up breaking up the trip yesterday, so it wasn't 2 1/2 hours there, then 2 1/2 hours back, all together. We went to 2 malls, ate lunch at Sweet Tomatoes, and dinner at Saluto's. Haha.

WHOO HOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got my first choice house :DDDD

WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, I'm so happy right now. And so far, I'm only with one of the girls that I'm no longer friends with, and she's the one I would most rather be with, cos she won't do anything. (:  Yay. It's called Iroquois. Wow, that's hard to spell. You can see my teachers Here! It's a link. Mr.Plowe is really cool. He came into our class alot last year. :) And Mr. Moran ran for mayor, but lost it. Haha, though he was mayor of Kenosha a few years ago. Mrs. Fennig was in a 7th grade house last year, so i know her. Then we just found out who my math teacher is today, but I forgot her name. It's long and hard to pronounce.
And while at registration, I saw 2 of my favorite teachers I had last year. They seemed reallyyy happy. Haha.
But the bummer, I didn't get 3-D art. That was what I picked on my form, but I got Family Consumer Science.

I forgot how totally lame middle school drama is. Wow. Kids get mad at things 2nd graders would get mad at. Seriouslyy, I'm done. :))

Thursday, August 14, 2008

Ah!!

Right now, I'm super nervous... and worried. Today and tomorrow are school registration, and I'm not going until tomorrow, but I just found out that like all the kids that were in my class last year, are in the house that I DO NOT want to be in. But those kids, and me, are "high honors" or whatever you wanna call it, and there is a specific house for that group. Ahhh, I really don't wanna be there.  And plus, I very much dislike ALL the kids in my class last year. Blahh.

The worst part is, that I have to go tomorrow at like 9 in the morning. >_<  Because after that, I have to go to the dentist at 10:30 to get sealences or however you spell it. Only on 2 teeth, but I gotta sit there with my mouth full of cotton balls while my teeth are basted in baking soda and some other stuff. Ew. Oh well, it's only gonna be 10 minutes. I guess I swallowed the ones that were on my teeth, haha.

Few friends... not so bad.

I never really thought that I would actually like not having that many friends. But let me tell you, this summer is probably one of my best ever. Now, my friends that I DO have, I am SUPER close to, and I can trust, truly. I know I can because I've spent so much time with them, or talking to them. ;)  And another good thing, there is WAYYYYY less drama with only a few friends. I wish this summer would never end.
Oh &&
This was in my horoscope for today -
"There is a growing sense of freedom in your life, and the best way to encourage it to continue is to take advantage of it."
Sounds pretty great to me :) Freedom.

Title?

Thoughts and fears race through me,
As school approaches.
At night... my dreams don't make sense
Are these signs? or just my conscience
Scaring me

Visiting great-grandma,
Being called "Katie" feels great
As I sit where she once did
I picture her sitting across the table,
Laughing.
I still miss her so much

The house full of loud voices and fits,
It eats at me too easily

This summer has taught me so much
How louzy my life was, 7th grade changed me,
Caught in a dark cloud, scared to leave
This summer I escaped,
I've found the true Kayla

Now I'm having the time of my life,
I'm finally truly laughing,
Dancing to music again,
Friends can actually make me laugh
I think I'm going to stick with them,

And my toenails
are a different color each week.

Scared the sad out of me

Hah, so last night, around 9, my mom and I went over to Shelly's.  I played Wii with Zach and Bryan. It was funnn.

It was kind of funny. My mom kept saying "I'm gonna be home by 10" and at 10:30 she came in and said "Kayla, can you run home and get the bottle of wine in the fridge?" Haha. So I went home to get it. and when I got back, Shelly and my mom were outside. They both told me to go in the front door, because Shelly "broke the door". I can't believe I believed them!!! But I started walking towards the front door, and I open the screen door and Zach pops out of the bushes and screams at me. I jumped about 2 feet and almost through the juice in my hand. Bryan was like on the other side of the house, because he didn't know where to go. Haha. But then I was all shaky in the house and Bryan found it absolutely hilarious, but Zach knew what was wrong. Hah.  So he came up to me and was like "I'm sorrrryyyyy" But I still found it funny, and laughed alot. The rest of the night I was shaking though. If you didn't know, I get scared REALLY easy, and I'm super jumpy/jittery/paranoid. So then after like 10 minutes, Shelly asked me to go close Morgans bedroom door, because she was sleeping. So I go and do it, then I come around the corner to go downstairs and Zach is there goes "BOO!" and I screamed, but Morgan's a heaving sleeper, luckily ;)  That was the last of the scaring though. We ended up staying 'til midnight.

But the whole weekend I was kind of in a mood, where like I just felt sad and depressed. And after I was scared and I laughed so hard, I felt better. :)

Why So Serious?

Haha, so I went to see the Dark Knight again yesterday. My dad took me and Zach to see it. And let me say, it was still 100% awesome the second time. I saw some things I missed with mom, Uncle Ed and John. I saw my 2 favorite scenes again. The pencil magic trick scene and the hospital scene. It was Zach and my dads first time seeing it, so I had to be quiet the whole time. But I still closed my eyes on the one scene I did the first time.... When he made the guy "smile". I forgot how totally awesome and cute* batmans voice is :D, and how cute of a batman Christian Bale is. (And still how cute Heath Ledger is...) Whoo. But now he's ugly with his BUZZ cut. My mom and I were talking about the joker in the car this morning. We talked about how diabolical he is, and yet how totally smart he is too.

Ah, well then we came home, went swimming, watched movies and ate Chinese.

I keep having these dreams, where me and my former friends are all friends again, and dreams where the school year sucks. I don't get the dreams where we are all friends... because I don't want to be friends with them. I left them for a reason. My mom was talking about how maybe they've changed, like I have. But I highly doubt they have changed when they are "prank" calling me every week, even though I know it's them. I've thought of what I'm going to say next time though :D Here it is-

I answer - "Hi guys! I miss talking to you. You know, I was starting to think you guys might be mad at me... but then I thought, how silly of me. Why would you guys be mad at me? You have no reason to be mad at me. You guys aren't that low that you would do that. Then I thought maybe you hacked into my myspace, cos somebody did, but you guys aren't that rude and mean. Hm, hows your summer going? Mines going great, I've been hanging out with 2 highschoolers :) Well, it's been nice talking to you, gotta go. My friends are here! Talk to you later, byee."

I told my mom and she said that would be awesome :DD Haha.
Oh and I found out this morning that my mom thinks I'm as mature as an immature 15 year old. Haha. (That would be Bryan she is comparing me to) Would you consider that good or bad?

Friday, August 1, 2008

Mmm...

It happens to everyone right? It upsets everyone right?

I'm talking about a bad haircut. Thats what I got today. :'(  She cut my bangs too short. If i don't push them to the side, they are blunt bangs (short, above my eyes, straight across bangs) across my forehead. The picture I had was more angled and longer bangs. I wouldn't be so mad except for the fact that registration is August 14, and that's when they take my id picture. I don't want to look like this for my school picture. of 8th GRADE! My last year at this school.

Okay, now I've had a night to play with them, straighten them differently, mess 'em up... and I've come to not hate my bangs.  I still think they are a little too short for me, but if I get them in place just right, they don't look that bad. I'll put a picture on when they grow out a little.

Hey Guys! This is kind of important.

Oh and if you didn't know, my wi.rr.com email is not in use. I have no way of accessing it anymore.... so thats what the new one is for. ;)

Don't cha

Just love the sun?? It's so welcoming and... happy. I don't know. Just another one of my weird thoughts.

Anyways, the Cubs vs. Brewers games are not going good, for me atleast. After last nights game, they kept talking about Braun's bad miss. I got so mad. It's amazing how the announcers can change so fast. Like the first game, Hardy and Braun hit homeruns in a row, they were so happy and whatever. Then one bad miss and they go mean. :P Arg, that's just my opinion.  But, I think the Brewers will catch up. Sorry John. ;)

Also, I keep noticing all these commercials with bears in them. One time I looked at my mom and said "Honestly, why does there need to be a bear in this???" Seriously, it's just a random bear in a Lowes commercial or something. It might make more sense if a bear was their logo er something, but I don't see why people think bears are so "cool" or whatever.

Indy

I got back from Indiana on Wednesday. We ended up getting home at midnight, but hey, I'm not complaining. I think it was a great visit. I had alot of fun. We saw 2 movies. The Dark Knight and Hancock. I absolutely LOVED The Dark Knight. It is probably one of my all time favorite movies.  I have no idea why I liked it so much, but I did. And I liked how it wasn't gruesome at all. Hardly any blood, and they didn't really show actual killings. It cut off on time so you didn't see anything, which is good for me. Haha, I don't like blood or anything. Hancock was good too. But I thought it really didn't have a message. It was just a superhero.

That's about it, nothing neww.

Kayla's Lifee atm

Well, I finally rode my bike for the first time yesterday. It's been sitting in my garage waiting to be used. So last night, when the house was filled with cranky people and Hannah screaming down the stairs (so it echoed), I text Zach and we went around. I wasn't in the best mood before we started either. I'd say we did 2 miles atleast. Just riding around White Caps. And we got chased by a tiny* barking* dog and Zach kept screaming "I will kick you!". But it didn't listen. Eventually the lady came and got him... finally. >_<

But right now, I can't sit stillllll. Haha, I stole Emma's line. :P        I REALLY want my mom to get home so we can leave. Not so much looking forward to the long car drive to Indiana, but I'm looking forward to getting there.

Eh, I'll post later. Probably about the trip... so until then, adios.

Pooltrampolinehottubwhile90degreesoutside

Like my title? It's all 1 word. And it's exactly what I did all day today.
This morning at like 10:30 my mom, Hannah and me went in the pool. Then we waited for Shelly, Morgan, Zach and his friend Bryan to come over. At first, we didn't know Bryan was coming, then Shelly called and asked. And I must admit, at first, I wasn't really looking forward to it.... just cos, you know, people are different around friends.
It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Bryan turned out to be more polite and fun as I thought. It started with a battle between my mom and I and Zach and Bryan. We were in teams. Boys and girls. I, once again, kept getting dunked. And I would occasionally be stuck on Bryans back, while trying to get the monster noodle from him. Then my mom got out, so we decided it wouldn't be fair. So it was every person for itself. And of course, the boys got bored. So I was forced onto the trampoline.... Then they got bored on there and I was forced into the hottub. Yes, the HOT TUB! And it was how hot outside, eh, only 90! Haha, then Bryan wanted water, then he wanted apple juice. So he kept getting out and drying off and getting it, then getting back in. Then he wanted the speaker for my ipod and the iHome for it to bring outside. I didn't wanna go get it, so he went to go get it upstairs. Then a minute later he came back and said "It would help if I knew where it was" We ended up getting the speaker, but not the ipod. Then we got out and Zach runs into the pole and says "Ow, I'm dizzy". haha. He over-heated.

Now I'm all alone in my house, and I have the fan turned on high. :)

Painted out.

Finished! Well, almost. Zach came over around 1:30 and we were finished by 5.  My room looks pretty good, better than I expected.  But it took forever to get the paint off me, and I still have some on. We played around a little with the paint...... as most kids would have. ;)  Oh and he fell twice onto the newly painted wall. I said we should leave it and mark it "Where Zach Fell", but he didn't think soo. Then, someday this week, we are going shopping for paint to do the handprints.

Tomorrow- we are hitting the ball park. Shelly, Morgan, Zach, Me, My mom, Dad and hannah are going to the Brewers - Cincinatti Reds game.  I wanna catch a ball... not likely though. :(  But! we do get Corey Hart posters. And if we get there early enough, we might get some autographs. Thanks John for the info!

Monday, all we have to do is touch up on the paint, and wait for my bed :D You have no idea how excited I am to have an actual queen size bed. :)

Painted purple and green

I'm painting my room finally :)  It has been pink since before Hannah was born. So about 5 years. For me, that is too much pink. I've decided to go 2 walls purple and 2 walls green. And both colors are names of fruit. Haha. They are grapeolicious and key lime. Too bad it isn't paint you can taste. That would be pretty cool.
I'm really excited. Except its all happening really fast! I didn't pick my colors until yesterday, we ran out late last night and got the paints. Then today I'm taping everything with that famous blue tape. And by the end of tomorrow, I should be done painting.  Its all crazy! And it had to go this way, by mid-July, I'm getting my new bed too. So painting had to be done before that came. All this week I've been cleaning out my room, majorly! I made a huge dent in the amount of stuff in my room. I went from 5 drawers of stuff to 1. I had a huge black garbage bag full of garbage and junk that I'm getting rid of.  It's obvious that I really want this to happen, right? I finished my room in  matter of 2 days. I went through my whole closet, the 5 drawers under my bed, and my dresser. My room was a mess. I just threw everything out of my closet and started over(:  It was easier with my ipod though. Now I'm done, and I can't wait.

Oh and when we were waiting for the paint, we found this BIG apple made of wood. We're going to take my leftover green paint and paint it :) Then find a place to put it.

4th of July Weekend

On Monday, Shelly's husband, Travis, came home for a few days. He is in the Navy and currently is out on a ship, but he was in port, and they gave him a leave. He had Monday through Thursday. So, Thursday night, he wanted to grill out and have us and the neighbors behind them over. Of course, we went.

It didn't really get fun until the adults got crazy(: Men went outside and played ladderball and the ladies stayed inside and 'talked'. Me Zach and Christian, the other neighbors kid, played xbox and they did "fireworks" which were more like "smokeworks". It was just a storm of smoke everywhere. I was terrified of doing them, but I was forced to go outside anyways. :P Then when it got dark, we did sparklers and all hung out outside, including the moms. Oh, and the adults started making jokes about how Zach is 5' 12" tall. Haha, I brought it up and they carried it away. One day, I asked him how tall he is and he told me 5' 12" and later I told my mom, and she was like "Really? That's 1 less than 5' 13" right?" Then I got it. But that was pretty much my Thursday night. We ended up staying until 11.

Then Friday we left for Port Washington. It was a dud. We were supposed to stay until Sunday, but we ended up leaving Saturday. There was nothing to do. Except we walked out to the lighthouse(: That's my new picture if you notice. So we are at home, doing nothing. I'm about to go crazy right now. Across the street they are shooting off fireworks that just sound like a HUGE boom. And so my dad keeps going outside and screaming, and I can't take it! I'm sick of the hollering, the screaming, the loud voices.

Early Sunset

We all know it is coming
and dread it

There is no avoiding it
no matter what

Tears are definate
Yes

The day is coming
Quickly

Like the sunset
In the West

Don't want it to come
but know it will

It's coming
Too Early

Insert title here

I've been super busy lately. It's been kind of nice though. I think I will start with Friday.

Friday we had a garage sale with the neighbors Shelly, Zach and Morgan. So we were with them about everyday for the past week. But then Friday I wasn't really paying attention to the sales. I stayed with the 16 month baby Shelly watches. It's her niece Danielle. She is super cute. I was with her during the day.

Saturday was more of the garage sale. But the kids weren't there. Me, Zach, Morgan and Hannah all went to Six Flags with my dad. Zach and I went off on our own to do big rides, and my dad stayed with Hannah and Morgan on the little stuff. I was a woosy though(: But it was really fun. We got ice cream from Cold Stone and Zach got me on a a coaster I've never been on, the Viper. :O I think it's my new favorite though... But lets see. Well, we got there around 10:30 and me and Zach went first to the Ragun Cagen. Then we went to Whizzer and Demon. Then we went to this ride that me and Aunt Katie got sick on. Haha, I remember that so vividly. Then we went and met my dad and all the people from my dads work at the place where we ate lunch. Then we went off to the Viper, then Cold Stone, then this thing like a Tilt-A-Whirl. We did that RIGHT after the ice cream. Not very good for my weak stomach. Oh well. ;) Then my dad took the girls home around 4:30. Me and Zach stayed and my mom and Shelly picked us up around 6. It was fun. But I was REALLY tired and my feet REALLY hurt. I have 3 huge blisters on insides of my toes. Ouch.! Then we picked up Chinese after we got picked up and ate together. It was really fun.

Oh and I made $43.75 at the garage sale. Whoo.

Now I'm at grandpa's house. And we are watching Alvin and the Chipmunks. :D
